This Tea Place is right in my neighbourhood and has now become my go to place for not only bubble tea, but for lunch as well! It hands down has the best bubble tea I have ever had. And during lunch hours of 11 – 3, they have special lunch combos that are delicious and for a great price. You can mix and match between panini’s, soup, salad and bubble tea for a range between $ 9 – 13 depending on which and how many of those you combine to order. They’re panini sandwiches are always fresh, and the soups are full of flavour. I have yet to try a salad(I am not a vegetable person: p) but they look delicious when someone else orders them! Food and teas are always of great quality. They are family owned and operated, so it is nice to see the same people and to always have a warm welcome!

Have you ever wanted the cozy comfort of a coffee house AND drink your delicious bubble tea in peace? Look no further because The Tea Place(which formerly was on 170 street and 100 Ave ish) is open for business in Callingwood. Yes, that’s right, the west side(I’m actually throwing up the W-hand sign right now) is actually getting some bubble tea love. Of course you can always fight through the line up and crowds outside T & T for the iconic Dream Tea franchise spreading flavors but if you ever want something more«I-want-to-study-on-4th-floor-Cameron-library-at-the-U» and less«want-to-study-on-first-floor-Cameron-library-but-we’ll-really-just-be-loud-and-talk», then go to Tea Place. On a night where it was raining and we had a hankering for some dessert since Vi’s was closed on Monday, we decided to get some at Tea Place. Their selections of pies only consisted of Pumpkin and Apple but both were large and scrumptious. They also have huge slices of Red Velvet Cake and some New York Cheesecakes too. I’m not sure if the pies were baked in house and have a feeling it is Costco bought but I didn’t ask as it might ruin the magic. Needless to say we got an apple pie a la mode and it tasted exactly what you would need on a rainy night with a chai latté. You slow down and wonder if ordering another slice would be a bad life choice and decide to make up your mind after you savor the last bite of ice cream swimming with large apple bits. My chai latté had generous amounts of foam and cinnamon but if you need some reference it pales in comparison to Remedy. I prefer mine more on the sweet side and this one was a little flat for my taste. I still enjoyed it but just in case you need to compare apples to apples with. Another aspect of Tea Place that I can’t really mention is their large selection of teas, tea accessories and tea pots/cups. They carry quite a bit of cast iron pots as well as a wall full of different teas for you to take a trip to nose flavor town. All in all, two lattés and a pie came out to about $ 10 which is A-Ok in my dating book(we’re planning a wedding alright…). The only disappointing thing about the Tea Place is they close at 9PM so all you late owls who need a place to get your coffee/bubble tea and read a book may have to look at The Tea Girl instead. TL;DR: Large delicious looking pies that taste as good as they look. Ok chai latté.

I came here with my daughter excited to try something new. My excitement soon turned to annoyance, as the(owner?) man at the front counter keep hounding us to choose. The place wasn’t busy at all, so I’m not sure why he was rushing our decision. There were so many teas to choose from, and as we are very picky, wanted to browse and check out what they had. He just kept bugging us, very annoying. Small talk would have been better… Anyways, it took forever, wasn’t that great, nor the price. Wouldn’t recommend it!

We came heree near closing and it was empty. They have an excellent selection of tea served in nice little kettles. The quality of the tea is really good, with an intense flavor, this place is very friendly as well.

Great for morning coffee, afternoon tea, or brunch. Tucked in the corner of the parking lot north of the Safeway I almost missed this place! The service was polite and quick. Small sized building, good to seat 30−35ish people. The coffee is fantastic, deep and rich, almost nutty aftertaste, and very cheaply priced. Large Americano= $ 3 They also sell bubble tea! Which I thought was cool and different for a coffee/tea shop. They also display and sell local artwork!(Hardly original for a coffee shop I know, but still it’s good they support local) Unfortunately probably not the right place to put on musical events(to small and the building isn’t shaped right)

Groupon’s never seem to be what they appear. We ordered one under the assumption that we could use it at any of the Tea Place’s three locations. Of course, they only tell you after you buy the Groupon that it’s valid for only one location! Ridiculous. Luckily, I called ahead and found out we could only use it at their newest location, on the west end in Callingwood. It also worked out that my friend had the day off and was nice enough to swing by and bring back the food for us to try. Anyways, I ordered a lunch combo special: soup, sandwich and bubble tea($ 10.90): — Soup of the day(two choices) — I went with the vegetarian — Chicken ranch panini — ciabatta bun with smoked chicken, swiss cheese, tomatoes, onion, green peppers and a ranch dressing. — Mango bango bubble tea with mango pieces — pretty tasty BBT. Mango, banana and coconut all mixed together. With the Groupon, it was about half price for each of us. Everything was decent but I don’t think I would go out of my way to grab food from here. The BBT was better than average though. A 3.5 would be a fair rating.

Hip Hip Hooray! The Tea Place’s THIRD location has opened! This one is nestled in Callingwood. The Tea Place is an absolute favourite of our entire family! Whether I am looking for a sophisticated tea assortment, the best london fog around, or my personal favourite — fresh fruit bubble tea — the Tea Place has it all! It is run by a super nice family who you will see frequently behind the counter. All locations have free wi-fi and great customer service. The colours are modern and bright — and the seating always plentiful. I personally recommend the Mango Bango Fresh Fruit Milky Style with Sago. My hubby’s favourite is Fresh Fruit Peach Dairy Free with Green Apple pieces(instead of Sago). And my daughter’s favourite is Fresh Fruit Strawberry Milky style with EXTRA sago :-) I love coming in for their soup and sandwich special(runs about $ 7) or you can have a sandwich and salad for a $ 1 extra. We usually combo it with bubble tea for around $ 10. The paninis are made to order so you can specify if you want to sub a bread, skip the onions, etc. They always have 2 piping hot soups on hand(sometimes a special one that’s a $ 1 extra — but always worth it). We just came out to this location on Saturday to celebrate their grand opening. May this location be as busy as the rest :-) Long live The Tea Place & Bubble Tea :-) PS — If you have a Student Union Coupon Book — be sure to look them up for some specials. And if you don’t have the coupon book, don’t fret! They have a stamp card so you can earn free yummies!
