My colleagues and I frequently come to this Tim Hortons because it is close to work. This location is always busy. In the morning there is an express line if you are only ordering beverages. This has been very useful since you do not have to wait long for your drinks. There have been a couple of times we have ordered breakfast and we received someone else’s order. But the staff were quick to correct it once you were able to tell them it was wrong. The waiting area is non existent so I think that is part of the confusion The coffee and food are standard Tim Hortons with few surprises and that is why we come here on a regular basis.

This location is always busy being downtown and situated in Commerce Place. I was there on an early Sunday morning since nothing much is open around that area yet. It is walking distance from many hotels and office buildings and apartments. There’s also parking along the street if you can find a parking meter and on Sunday, it’s free. Inside is a small seating area with tables and booths however most of the seats were occupied. There were two staff taking orders and the line was about five people constantly. The staff was quick in helping customers and moving people along. During the week, there is way more staff and the line is outside the door into Commerce Place so you can expect to be in the line for a bit. The breakfast items are available until noon. The display is always stocked with doughnuts, muffins, cookies. Tim Horton’s offers seasonal items such as pumpkin flavour, special doughnut like Oilers colour sprinkles and coffee and mug sets at Christmas. Great service here and good hours too but if you want to sit and enjoy, may be hard to find a seat.

Always a busy place, no matter if first thing in the morning, lunch, or after work. It’s great they have the fast beverage only line which would speed things up for those need a morning pick me up. I came close to noon to meet friends for lunch and there were a few tables available but none looked like they had been cleaned. We choose the only booth and got napkins to flick the crumbs from the table and seats to the floor. My friend went to order food while I waited. Good thing for Tim’s free wifi to keep me busy for the few minutes. The line grew but it wasn’t out the door to Commerce Place which was good. With 3 cashiers, it moved fairly well. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich for $ 4.50 and I didn’t have to wait more than a minute or so. The sandwich is as I expected, ok and nothing spectacular. There was decent amount of chicken in it so it was filling with just the sandwich. We spent an hour chatting and it wasn’t too busy for eating in. My friend did need to show her receipt when she went to use the bathroom to keep the non customers from using it.

So this Tim Horton’s location can get both very busy and very frustrating. For one this is an area of town where the foot traffic is such that the bathroom is very much made into a secure area where staff need to buzz you in. It isn’t the nicest of bathrooms either. The crowd here doesn’t often seem the most friendly but it depends on time of day. It is beside one of the busiest bus stops in downtown Edmonton so that influences the crowd as well. As for food/beverage and staff interactions? They are the average of what I’ve found at any Tim Hortons location, really. The food is as expected and the staff do their utmost with the resources they have to provide food and beverages quickly and efficiently during their shifts.

Woo hoo have not had Tim Hortons in literally four years since Vancouver. When in Canada, Tim Hortons is a must, right? Glad I got to have it. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised by how«affordable» the prices were. I guess I am used to seeing ridiculous prices at coffee places, both big corporations and mom and pop shops in California. So I ordered a small chocolate latte and 10 pieces of Timbits and it came out to be around $ 4 Canadian currency. The chocolate latte tasted primarily of hot chocolate with a light splash of espresso, which was delicious. Just wish that it was slightly warmer in temperature — either that or the outside temperature was simply too cold. I asked for an assortment of Timbits to share and sample, and they ended up giving me two of each flavor, which I was satisfied with. Overall, the Timbits — not to be referred to as «doughnut holes,» otherwise they will give you a blank stare — were more dense and cake than the doughnut texture I am used to in the US. Of the flavors I sampled, my favorite was the chocolate. Not a fan of pumpkin spice, but it is a festive holiday option if that is what you’re looking for. Also, the to-go box for Timbits was just too cute — like a cute handbag made of cardboard. Wish it came with a cross body strap… kidding. Would come back again if I ever come back to Edmonton. Glad there was free wifi, but was not able to log on, so I guess that defeats the purpose of free wifi.

The line up is usually ridiculous but it passes very quickly. You’ll never stand in that line up(even if its going out the door) for more than 5 minutes. Take advantage of the expressed beverage lane if that’s all your getting. Their new chicken sandwich(which in my opinion is just like a chicken burger) is actually Devine. Pair that up with their new kettle chips, what a delicious fast food treat compared to a greasy burger.

For all those Tim Hortons fans out there, isn’t there a specific Timmy’s that you have a more than favorable experience? Well I do and this one is one of my favorites. In my opinion, it doesn’t get as much foot traffic as the other Timmy’s on Jasper and 107 Street but this Timmy does have quick service. Right around 8AM is when this location gets slammed and one of the things that I’m glad to see is the line does move quite quickly. Whether people pay by cash or card, I’m usually out by a few minutes. One thing to bring up was I actually did like how management at one point experimented with two lines: one for coffee and one for coffee and food in an attempt to speed up service. Although it looks like they abandoned this for now, I’m glad to see management not resting on their laurels and trying to come up with better ways to improve service. P.S — I get super happy when they draw a smiley face on my cup, makes my day!

Coffee is coffee, but I was genuinely impressed by their baked goods, sandwiches and soups. Great place to grab a quick grub especially if you’re on a budget. This place gets super busy, but the staff seems to handle the line pretty well. They seem to know how to power through them quickly just like any other Tim Horton’s.

This location can get a little busy in the afternoon. Otherwise, it’s a decent Tim Hortons.

Tim Horton’s is a brilliant example of how marketing trumps quality. I’ve never been able to add anything to Tim Horton’s coffee to make it even close to drinkable, and their food should come with the same warning labels as cigarette packs because it is pure poison. Canadians, you need to be ashamed that Canada is the origin of this toilet water.

No wonder Tim Hortons is something Canadians are proud of! Often called«Timmy’s» this place offers coffee and coffee drinks, donuts, muffins, bagels, cookies, timbits(tiny round sweet pasties in a variety of flavors that cost something like $ 2 for a dozen), biscuits, croissants, cinnamon rolls and other kinds of baked sweets. If all the above mentioned sweet goodies don’t suffice and you need a more significant meal, there are soups, sandwiches and wraps. Everything on the menu is really inexpensive, and most of the time tastes great. I personally am not crazy about wraps at Timmy’s as they taste sort of bland, but I do love the soups(especially turkey and wild rice) and all baked goodies. I find that customer service is consistently good at all Tim Hortons locations. Sales associates work very fast and always manage to get the order right.

I am almost positive that Tim Horton’s puts crack or some type of drug in their items, especially their coffee. Every morning before work I would get a French Vanilla coffee. I was addicted. When I finally got over my habit I went through a withdrawal period. it was tough. life was sad. Other than the coffee, the donuts and cookies are amazing, soft and come in a variety of flavours. They have some great sandwiches too. Cost wise it is inexpensive. Cheaper than any other good coffee place. Tim Horton’s has really become part of Canadian culture and I don’t have a problem with that at all because they are great.

Canada would just not be Canada without Tim Horton’s. I am a huge fan of their coffee, doughnuts, sandwiches, and soup. It is a community-minded company with reasonable prices, excellent service, and a consistent product. No matter where you are in the city, you can usually from a Tim’s somewhere nearby. Some of my favourites include the chili, chicken noodle soup, and turkey sandwich. I also often just stop by for a quick coffee and doughnut — coffee is brewed all day long and the doughnuts are so fresh they almost melt in my mouth. The lineups can be huge around mealtimes, but with careful planning, if you avoid the crowds the service is also very quick.

I’m a huge fan of Tim’s. They are all over the place in Canada and I believe it is possible to drive the entire length of Canada and always eat at a Tim Hortons. I have been to several in 5 Canadian Provinces, the Yukon, and even West Virginia. This Doughnuts and coffee chain also has a nice selection of sandwiches and soups. And if you eat in, you get china cups, plates, and bowls. Service is amazingly fast and the coffee is pretty darn good. Of course I also like the doughnuts. And they are not as annoyingly sweet as Krispie Kreme. You also get a great view into one aspect of Canadian culture. I still remember one time in Fort Saskatchewan at 5AM at –40 C and there was a line-up out the door and a backup in the drive through. All that time, folks were in good humour as the line moved quickly. I have experienced similar queues and Canadian politeness and patience in other stores. I’m only going to write one Tim Horton’s review on Unilocal.I chose this one because it had the most interesting local«flavour» early one morning a few months ago when I was walking around a sometimes rough downtown Edmonton. Tourists, people going to work, and transients were all lined up patiently and later seated in the same area as we woke up and warmed up together.
