Vita Bella is a pretty pricey place but they offer decent food. It is a classy looking place with nice décor that makes for an inviting atmosphere. The service was really good but it was slow. They took a while to get the food out but they made up for it with their attitudes. The portions here are very generous but we felt everything came with the exact same type of sauce. It could have been that we just ordered similar things but we were a bit put off by that. It was an elegant place and the food was good and presented really well. It wasn’t a place that completely blew me away but I will remember it.

If you’re looking for a pricey yet decent Italian meal, then you might like Vita Bella. The décor features high-backed leather chairs and dark wooden tables making for a cozy atmosphere.(The only knock: the tv by the bar. Since it’s not a lounge, the tv just looks out of place.) The service was a little slow but otherwise excellent. We started with some appetizers: bruschetta and a caprese salad to share. The bruschetta was good, but would have been better without the sprinkled Parmesan on top. The caprese salad was served with prosciutto on top and covered in some sort of vinaigrette which was its downfall. I didn’t mind the prosciutto so much, but I would much rather have prefered extra-virgin olive oil instead of the yellowy vinaigrette. For dinner, I had the gnocchi pomodoro al forno and my friend had the agnello(lamb). The portion sizes were big. My gnocchi were good, but they were a little chewy. In my opinion, good gnocchi should melt in your mouth. As for the agnello, my friend thought the meat was tender, the vegetables perfect and the penne a little overcooked(I thought they were fine). We rounded out the meal with a half litre of valpolicella. In the end, Vita Bella met my expectations, but did not exceed them.
