Wow. When it comes to food court Indian food, this was fabulous. Far better than I ever expected out of a food court kiosk! The chai tea(which took a while) was delicious and very inexpensive which was quite nice! By far the best Indian quick serve restaurant I’ve visited in Edmonton in a long time and well worth the visit(and no lineup!) to Scotia Place Food court! The naan bread was great and the daily special was an ample amount of flavourful food. I highly recommend this place — especially for the speed, cost and style of cuisine!

I was extremely impressed at the quality of the food, wonderful flavour, and(most important) SUPER fresh — just made — naan bread. I’m not sure if it was because of the time that I arrived(late lunch 2:00 pm) or if it is always that good. I will definitely return to find out. Not many places can give«Chicken for Lunch»(next door) a run for their money, but Y-Not certainly can. Customer Service 10⁄10. They even had no problem allowing me to sample the spicy fish before ordering. I hope they continue with the high quality ingredients and generous portions. It sure left a positive first impression. IMPORTANT: Be sure to tell them you would like you naan bread served«open» style. That way it comes out crispy and fresh straight out of the oven. It’s definitely worth the few extra minutes!

Keep in mind that’s it’s fast food. Very flavorful. I had the Chana masala and Bombay potatoes. Yum. Best comfort food. Good prices. Great for lunch. They are open 8−4pm. Located in the food court lower level of the Scotia Bldg.

This hidden gem is the concourse of Scotia Place. Great service, while you wait for your fresh made naan bread the owner gives you a sample of some tasty delight! I have tired so many dishes on the owner’s instance and I haven’t been disappointed! My palate for east indian has grown even more and for the price it double bonus! Portions are not small, go big or go home! I love their noodle dish, who knew you could get such a tasty noodle indian dish! Its definitely a place to stop into and check out. They are not open on weekends or evenings, but its worth coming into the inner core of downtown to experience. That’s all I have to say about that! ;)

After trying uninspiring lunch-boxed curries from Canada Place/Commerce, Y-Not Curry is the best express curry fix for lunch in the downtown area. It is located between Chicken for Lunch and Subway, in the food court area of Scotia Place. I love their Palak Paneer and how vegetarian friendly this fast-food place is, on my meat-free days. As an eggplant lover, they serve really good eggplant curry on the days they do have it as a daily special. Their beef vindaloo is super yummy, especially when served with naan. Quality of food is consistent, provided with generous portions for under $ 10. As well, I’ve tried their butter chicken curry. I wish there was more delicious butter chicken gravy!
