This was a major disappointment from the Tim Horton’s of yesteryear. Ordered a Turkey Bacon club for one of our party. No Bacon — which can happen — but then to have the sandwich inspected as if we hadn’t already searched for the bacon was insulting. Then it was prepared with honey mustard which was not on the menu description of the sandwich — not what we wanted — and no other choice of type of mustard available. The spicy chicken sandwich however was worthy of negative stars if that were possible. It was(no doubt to fulfill legal requirement) made of chicken — but no fibers of chicken meat were present in this concoction — thus most likely this was a processed chicken protein preparation much as one gets in chicken frankfurters. In fairness — the sign on the menu board did not say«chicken breast» — but the picture suggested exactly that. The decaf Tea was acceptable but then again boiling water isn’t that tricky. The location is useful as a cell phone parking lot — so its’ got that going for it — thus two stars rather than one.

What better location for a Timmy’s? Seconds of the highway and from the airport, with quick service and the normal Tim Horton’s flavor. This isn’t the newest location, but gets the job done and can handle crowds well. It was also the first time I tried an oat cake cookie, which was interesting, but I think I’ll stick with the Maple bagel! And, as another reviewer mentioned, there’s an airline arrival board, even though you’re down the road from the airport. How cool is that!

Airport advantage: This Tim’s has a display showing the airport arrivals board. If you are picking somebody up you can sip a coffee at a table instead of in the parking lot, and not have to worry about being late.

This Tim Hortons has got to be the busiest Tim’s in Nova Scotia. I mean for people travelling to Halifax from the Truro area it is one of the few coffee shops, and most visible coffee shop along the way. While the food and service is great, the line-up for the drive-thru tends to be a bit ridiculous, especially on the weekends. Your best bet is to park and go inside to order, at least this way you also get a washroom break.
