Revoltingly bad breakfast and lousy service this morning…

This is the restaurant formerly known as «Sizzlin’ Jacks» on The Queensway in Etobicoke. I have been here twice since the change over of name, the first time was for breakfast and it was am okay spot to grab the regular couple eggs, bacon, etc. Nothing special, but nothing bad. The second time was for a weekend brunch and everyone at the table decided to venture out of the traditional breakfast comfort zone and we all quickly figured out that was a bad idea. In particular, I decided to order the Italian style breakfast, which consisted of two eggs topped with spicy italian sausage and mozzarella cheese… along with sides of homefries and toast. Now, I’ve seen mozzarella before… and I’m pretty sure it’s a shade of white, well whatever the hell was on top of my eggs was brown. The cheese was quite obviously burnt, the sausage was incredibly tough, and the eggs which i was hoping to be over-easy was cooked right though so i did not have any yolk to dunk my toast into… oh, and speaking of the toast. it was black! … seriously you’re a breakfast place and you burn toast, ANDYOUSTILLTRYTOSERVEIT??? If you’re in the area and looking for breakfast or brunch, go a couple blocks east and go to Cora’s, or go directly right across the street and hit up The Grille. It’s not great, but at least they won’t burn your toast!
