I tried Tim Horton’s for the first time this weekend in Canada. I ordered a Ham & Swiss sandwich as well as an Oreo cookie doughnut. They were both excellent. I was a big fan of the coffee and look forward to buying it in Burger King at some point since the two companies merged.

Gimme the Timmy. I am a Chicagoan who would pay Timmy a zillion dollars to open up shop in the Windy City. I stop at this location for breakfast probably every other day while on business in the area. The staff is pleasant and funny, the breakfast sandwiches are well-crafted, and they keep the place clean. Came in just a minute before 11 am on a Saturday and they still gave me my bacon/egg/cheese english muffin with a smile. Love it. In town next week and I’m looking forward to my Tim Horton fix, specifically from this location.

There cannot be many Canadians that have never heard of Tim’s so you know what to expect when you go there. I was very happy to find this place after flying on the red eye from the West Coast and was in dire need of a good coffee and a suger picker upper. Tim’s coffee is pretty good, and apparently many others feel the same. While I was in this particular store the queue extended at least 5 deep for their caffeine fix. Not burnt and bitter like a well known place in Seattle, Tim’s brew is mild, but gave me the perk I needed even before I downed the chololate donut that I ordered with the coffee(which I later read was not made fresh in the store). I have my refillable mug and free cup of coffee waiting to be used… and soon it will!
