Mantra Salon and Spa

I recently moved to Fort and I’ve been on the search for a place to do my brows nearby. I’m very particular with my brows, have been for years, and I find it very hard to trust people with them. My prayers were answered when I found Mantra Salon and Shelly! She’s awesome. Has been doing great work with my brows for months. She is also great with leg waxes! Will definitely be coming back here.

I had my hair cut and styled by Colinne, who I believe is the owner, and she did a great job! When you step through the door you’re offered tea and the appointment starts with a relaxing massage. Colinne understood exactly what would be best to do with my hair despite the fact that I, myself, only had a vague idea. She was also extremely friendly throughout the appointment, giving me suggestions for places to eat in town and suggestions for stylists I could go to in Calgary. They are an Aveda salon and she also showed me about products I could use for my hair, without pressuring me to buy anything (which I’ve experienced at other Aveda salons). After cutting and styling my hair I was offered a makeup touch up, which I think is a really nice touch if you’re going out afterwards. They also have a satisfaction guarantee policy and make it known if you aren’t happy you can always come back and they will fix it, which I think is the ultimate indicator that the ladies at Mantra truly care that you’re happy! Next time I’m in Fort Saskatchewan I will definitely return!

After my first review, the owner contacted me to give the salon another try. I finally got back there today and it was awesome. I got a stress relieving massage, hair wash, a great haircut, and was also asked if I wanted a makeup refresh on my way out. I will definitely be back.

As a new resident to Fort Saskatchewan I wasn’t sure where to go to get my hair done, I don’t consider myself a picky person (especially when it comes to my hair). I went in with dead ends and needed a serious-​more-​than-​trim. My hairdresser didn’t give me much of a chance to explain to her that I wanted more than just a trim… She just assumed I wanted it freshened up but didn’t allow me to elaborate on exactly what I was thinking. I went in prepared to come out with a bit of a new look than my usual and I left with just my usual. The hairdresser was very nice but she was so busy going on and on about her personal life and all of her own problems that she didn’t make an effort to find out what I wanted. I would probably give Mantra another try, just with a different stylist. I wasn’t super pumped about paying $ 50 just to get my ends trimmed – I could go to supercuts for that.

Hair Mantra is a fantastic place to go if you need to feel good about yourself. Nice and relaxing environment. Fully functioning aveda salon.
