Our AirBnB host suggested this place so we decided to check it out. We opted for the Smoked Salmon Baguette and Crêpe with fruit and crème anglaise. The bagel was ok — although it’s hard to mess up given none of the components are made in-house. The BF did not like his crêpe at all. Coffee was like usual crappy diner coffee. OJ was not fresh-squeezed and overpriced. Food and drinks arrived at the table fast enough. Service was ok. We felt a bit like they treated us like second-class citizens next to the French-speakers which is a strange feeling. Not the best atmosphere but nothing horrible either. It’s just a regular greasy spoon you would visit if you need breakfast in a pinch but don’t feel like driving somewhere actually decent.

Early Saturday morning two of us went to try this place. We have been before years ago, assessing it as average. The tables are too close together. The server was efficient but not particularly friendly. The food came fast and was hot. The biggest issue was the regulars: four loudmouths who seemed to think they were the only people in there, talking so loudly it was unpleasant. These men are locals and seemed to think the rest of us were their audience, looking about as if to ensure they were being watched. Maybe local small time councilmen. ANYWAY… Food wise the home fries were all shapes and sizes and therefore some burnt and some raw. The sausages okay, the bacon greasy, the over easy eggs okay. Coffee ditto. The place was clean which was nice. So if we had gone another day when the loudmouths weren’t there, may have enjoyed it more. Suggestion to owner: have some music maybe it will scare them away!!!
