First of all, ⁵⁄₅ for service! We went as a group of twelve for my friends’ birthday. The waitress, only one who served us all, was very helpful, patient, and friendly.
BUT the food fell flat. One of my friends ordered okra dish as an appetizer, and it was SO salty! Seriously, I like my food to be heavily seasoned, and it is very rare for me to come across a salty food.
Curry was OK and meat on the sizzling pan was OK too. Nothing special about the food.
I have been to Spice roots in Guelph, and you can get much better Indian food there than here. There are better options out there in Guelph than this place.

Hated the Malai kofta and chicken tikka masala. If you really like Indian food, try elsewhere (any restaurant in Brampton).

My Home town has never had such Indian food! I was visiting from Toronto and had a craving. I have to say I was not disappointed!
From the service to the food… Stellar!
I will definitely be visiting again!

When I went to this place, I was hungry & had very low expectations, I went there based on some reviews from here, oh boy ! I was WRONG ! The food is amazing ! I go to indian restaurants all the time & I can tell u. This food is just fantastic ! Most indian restaurants keeps food refrigerated & u can tell from the taste, this. One tasted fresh & was really tasty. The nan bread is burning hot & amazing. I went during the week for lunch & were only 3 tables with customers, the service was great.
I will definitely come again if I visit Guelph.

I first had Bollywood Bistro when take out was ordered for a group of us having a meeting over lunch. It took quite a while for the food to be ready to pick up, but when we got it everything was absolutely delicious. Since then we’ve had dinner there several times. The interior is lovely and the service has always been good. I would suggest not picking this place if you’re already very hungry as it can take a while for your meal to arrive, however the flavors are excellent and there are many vegetarian dishes.

I was here on the weekend and it was just terrible. I know who the owners are, Nina and Harish, as they always are the servers. This time, another girl was serving but they were in the kitchen. In the middle of our dinner, you could hear them absolutely berating one of their employees. I could hear everything they were saying, and they were mocking this young girl and imitating her speech. I was embarrassed and disgusted. Honestly, it doesn’t matter how the food tastes after seeing the owners act in that way. I will never, ever be returning to Bollywood Bistro and certainly hope their employees don’t take their verbal abuse to heart as the food and service was quite good until then.

When I want great indian food in Guelph, I come here.
The owners are attentive, though be warned the service may be a bit slower on the very busy Friday and Saturday nights, so don’t be in a rush.
Try something different than you might normally try on an Indian menu.
Their fish dishes are really yummy. As is their lamb.
The good portions are more than adequate. Order several dishes to share with friends.
Butter chicken is superb here too! Enjoy!
PS Don’t even bother showing up on Saturday night without a reservation.
