Came down here for breakfast with my family a couple weeks ago. Best breakfast I’ve had in a while. I had the eggs Benedict. Nothing on my plate required a complaint. Eggs were cooked perfect and everything was extremely flavourful. I had a taste of everyone else’s and they were all spectacular. Prices are a tad high at 10 – 14 $ per plate but it’s worth the money. Finding parking is a little hard but the parking behind Quebec St mall is not that far of a walk.

Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. I found the menu a little limited in terms of choice. Ordered the pumpkin curry. I rarely eat vegetarian fare but gave it a shot. Looked nice, tasted OK but kinda flat, no depth. And I was hungry again in an hour.

Excellent service! Fresh from scratch food, limited menu but what they have is perfected. We got the chicken pot pie and the mac and cheese, both delicious. After weeks later my friend went back to this place for a second go on a weekday, she said the food was totally different. She ordered the mac and cheese and found it to have a completely different taste. She didn’t like it and only ate half. It seems like during the week there might be a different cook then on weekends.

I was in Guelph with a friend and we were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch. We found this place after looking at other reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was GREAT! I had a delicious grilled cheese sandwich with a spicy aioli that I could not get enough of. Nice and fresh potato salad. My friend had a scone with her breakfast and you could tell that it was freshly made. I had a bite and it was melt in your mouth delicious. She also said the eggs were delicious and fluffy, the sausage was tasty and the roasted potatoes and peppers also very good. The dessert was amazing. We asked about it and they make the pastry shell and custard in house. The décor is eclectic which I thought was great and the service was great. Great experience and I will make the trip to Guelph again just for this place!

5 Star café in Guelph. I ordered duck taco and cappuccino here. My friend ordered featured omelette which so big and lots of potatoes and sausages. The food is amazing. Ontario duck tastes so good :) The washroom is very adorable and you should check it out: P I love the painting chairs here. Peacock and other patterns. Love here #.

We came here for breakfast and were a bit disappointed. The prices were higher than what you’d expect, which can be fine if the ingredients are good and the food is amazing, but that wasn’t really the case. I had a smoked salmon plate — smoked salmon, toasted bagel, capers, red onions, a side salad, and there should have been cream cheese, but I can’t eat that, so no cream cheese for me. It was $ 13, which is a bit steep. My friends got the standard breakfast — eggs, pork sausage, potatoes, and those were about $ 13 as well. Their potatoes were pretty awful. Chalky, undercooked and tasteless. Service was great and the spot itself has a neat atmosphere(though pretty hipster) and comfortable tables and chairs, but the food just didn’t cut it for us.

I had the vegetarian chili. It was quite good. The waitress was friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

I went there with my friend for lunch. I had vegitarian chili and she had quinoa. When those dishes came, we are surprised because they were cute — esp. vegitarian chili. Interior was cute, too. We sat a table near the fireplace. There were wooden dolls for Chistmas above the fireplace. They serves us real napkin, not paper one. They have many breakfast choices. It’s better to come back there before 11:00am next time!

It looks like we have a new local favorite spot! The Joint is adorable, classy, and very comfortable inside with a diverse range of customers from friendly smokers to classy prof-types to families taking grandma out for a meal. We ordered hot chocolates and water, a baked french toast breakfast dish, and a grilled cheese with a side of vegetarian chili. The water came with a pretty pitcher for us to do our own refills at the table, which I appreciate. But the food… Oh my gosh, everything was delicious! The baked french toast was rich and flavorful, with perfectly prepared thinly sliced apple on top. It was served with potatoes that could have used a touch more seasoning, but were still good, in place of the sausage(since we’re vegetarian). My grilled cheese was one of the best grilled cheeses I have ever had, and being from Wisconsin that is saying quite a bit. The balance of cheeses was perfect with the grilled fresh bread and I was in heaven. It came with a little side of sweet salsa, which I wouldn’t have thought of combining with a grilled cheese, but it worked together very well. The vegetarian chili was hearty and the veggies still had a little body to them, giving it a yummy texture in the mouth. It also came with cold slaw, which was the vinegar-y sort and garnished with cherry tomatoes. Yum and yum! Other reviews have noted that the menu is small. This is true, but it seemed to have a nice range of both meaty and veggie dishes. I was concerned at first, since a small menu usually means vegetarians are in trouble, but it really struck me as a good well-rounded selection. The bill was very reasonable, especially considering that we had a pair of coffee bar drinks with our meals. Service was fast and prompt. But perhaps my favorite part was meeting the owner, Bobbi. She asked how our meal was and we glowed over it, telling her it was our first time there since we had just moved to town, but that we would be sure to return. She was wonderfully welcoming and just really great to chat with. We will make sure to make this a regular spot from now on! Accessibility: The layout of the restaurant would be easily handicapped-friendly for most folks, with adequate space between tables, hardwood floors, ample sturdy wooden chairs(with no arms) and tables that can be easily moved as needed, and everything on the main floor. I forgot to check out the restrooms for accessibility but will be sure to do so next time and update this post.

Great quality real food! Friendly Staff. Whenever I visit Guelph, this is definitely one of the places I drop into, usually for breakfast. or brunch. Their coffee is superb, and the staff friendly. Last time I was here I had their Ploughmans breakfast, which was a house made Scone, Boiled egg, and Fruit salad. Quite tasty. Their Chicken Pot pie is an absolute delight! Real chicken, topped off with a puff pastry on top. Very nice! Nice atmosphere with wooden chairs, and tables, plus a fireplace(winter) Good value for money. Give it a try!
