Historic Properties is such a nice spot in Halifax. Being someone who loves the history of the city it has a lot to offer. Both the outside and inside are a unique experience. On top of that, there are some awesome shops inside. One of my favourites is Toxic Blossom. Also the fact that it is on the waterfront is even better.

This shopping area is located along a part of the Halifax Harbourwalk. It consisted of several, separate buildings scattered apart. One of the buildings is also an indoor mini-mall. Ready for more? Here we go. The indoor mini-mall portion is considered as the Market Mall. The Harbourwalk took myself right through the inside of the mall in the back of the building. On the right side of myself was a restaurant, and on the left was a corridor with shops on both sides. The shops was made up of souvenirs and clothing. There was even a soap shop in there too. The other buildings were considered as warehouses. They looked really nice and historical. Some people there explained to me the history of the buildings and the purposes of the utilization long ago. It was nice to know that. The shops that utilized the warehouses included gifts. Some office units were in some of those warehouses as well. Some other restaurants were outside too. One thing for sure, is that it’s a tourist trap. At the time I went, it was crowded with tourists bustling through. The prices in the shops were really high! Yeah, wasn’t a fan of that. Overall this place is okay. I definitely enjoyed looking at the historical buildings here. The views of the waterfront around this spot were great too. But I can forget about everything else here. For a small area, this review is as long as it’s going to get.
