The Lower Deck

I have nothing but good memories at the lower deck ! The staff is usually pretty reasonable considering the amount of drunk persons crammed inside, i have never felt uncomfortable or bullied by the bouncers and the bar staff remain pretty chill under the strain of serving so many people! Also i would like to say a special thanks to Mary the jagerbomb lady who used to walk around with the shots, she always found our table and supplied us with shots and good conversation!
The only downside to the lower deck is if you want to check your coat in the winter, they will not let you back downstairs to see the live band if it is too busy, i learned that the hard way.

The food is ok. The service is ok. It is just ok.

Great music, great atmosphere. The beer tastes better here than anywhere in Halifax. Definitely a place to check out.

Live music on Friday and Saturday nights the service was great I really like the old building the food was your average pub food my fiancé and I Both had the burger

I have to give this business a one star review. Please read my reasoning below.
It was a gorgeous sunny day on a Sunday, the historic properties boardwalk was full of people, it was 1:15 pm in the early afternoon.
My wife and son (10 months), my neighbor and his daughter (9 months) were walking the downtown enjoying the day. Passing by the lower deck I suggested we stop for one drink before going home.
Lower deck had about 3 or 4 customers at that time.
We all sit on the patio and my neighbor says he will have a beer and appetizer. I wanted one beer and nothing to eat. My wife wanted water, she does not drink.
The waiter said I had to eat and would not serve me. We asked for the manager.
The manager came and restated the same statement. He pointed out the 9 and 10 month old babies. Said I must eat. Replied ok, my wife is driving and she ordered water. Apparently she needed to eat too.
We left the patio. I understand now why the patio was vacant during a very busy day on the boardwalk.
I feel discriminated and my neighbor feels the same way. It could also be that the waiter was pushing food for more money.
I will never go to this establishment again being military my friends will no longer go as well.

Bar mit Livemusik ab 9.30 Uhr abends. Das ist das Lower Deck in Kürze. Vorher hat man hier an den Tischen fast immer Ruhe zur Unterhaltung und zum Essen. Welches gar nicht so schlecht ist. Dazu hat man die Qual der Wahl zwischen verschiedenen Biersorten. Dieses darf man auch gleich beim Servieren bezahlen. Ist halt so. Alles in allem wieder einen Besuch wert.
