Pizza Pizza Grafton St. is currently«temporarily closed», however the brand is still sending out coupons in the mail for the downtown area residents– coupons that expire before the store re-opens. I really wanted Pizza Pizza tonight. My business is going elsewhere and also the Pizza Pizza app is pure trash.

They forgot to put the wings in the order and when I arrived to pick up they had to make them so it was past the order deadline so the only saving grace was that it was free. Got back to the hotel room and the pizzas were wrong. Had ordered one with just olives and red onions and tomatoes but it also came with steak and pepperoni. Not a bonus if you don’t like meat. Pizzas were cold and tasted stale. I suspect that the pizza with the«bonus» meat on it was a leftover that they tossed the proper toppings on. Guy at the counter was rude and unapologetic. When he handed me the pizza he pointed at the time stamp on the receipt and mumbled something about it that I didn’t really understand. He seemed resentful that I was getting it free despite it being their fault. Didn’t like Pizza Pizza when I lived in Toronto 20 years ago don’t like it still today. Next time I will stick to the locals

First review, feels sad that I have to make it one about poor service. I ordered a pizza from this location, which took nearly 15 minutes over the 40 minute guarantee, so I’d been waiting near the door of my apartment building. None of the information on my order was incorrect, save for one digit in my phone number. The driver pulls up, comes up to the door and buzzes my apartment, so I say hi and say that the pizza is for me. I note the time(9:31) and state that as per the 40-minute guarantee, the pizza is free. He informs me that I am incorrect, and it would only be a 50% discount for the pizza. I decide that the $ 10 for the pizza would be an even trade, and said that he would provide me with a new receipt and begins to walk out the door after I hand him the money and receiving the change. I ask for the original receipt, and reading over it, it even says that after 9:21PM the pizza was free. The driver goes out to his vehicle, and as I’m watching, peals off and neglects to give me my new receipt… Aside from feeling like I’ve just been scammed, the pizza was terrible, and someone with less than… adept drawing skills… drew a set of breasts on the inside of the box. 0⁄10 would not order again.

I started calling at 8pm, after approximately 10 minutes of trying to navigate through the menus to actually place an order, I succeeded in getting connected to a line where the person was incredibly difficult to hear. Frustrated, I ordered online. Since when do they need my email address to deliver pizza? Understandable to track it, but if you don’t wish to track it, you can’t opt out of giving it. I finally was able to place my order at 830pm. Between then and 10:10pm, I placed four calls to customer service when it began to exceed an hour. I was told at 930pm it had just left, that was an hour of waiting. I then called at 945, was given the run around, called at 10pm and was put on hold where after 5 minutes of waiting the call disconnected. It did this again during the next call. It just arrived after an hour and forty minutes. Cold. And after looking at older reviews here, I can tell this has been an ongoing issue for the last two years. I’d advise to avoid completely, I know I will from now on.

I prefer my pizza from a local source(local business) but i have to say PP is the place I go more time then naught when I am downtown, Their Pizza is very good for the price, the fixings are really good, and i like the fact you can get sides as well, I love taters. I have also called on them every now and then for delivery, tho I try not too, delivery fees and tips make for a expensive meal. Still, for a slice very good stuff.

I was in Halifax for a business meeting and my hotel room overlooked the street where Pizza Pizza was located. On the day before I was going to take off for home, I wanted to get something to eat that was close and not too expensive. I walked to this place and the young lady who waited on me was very nice. She even guided me into buying a larger size pizza that would save me money because of some special. I did have to wait, but I expected that so the wait time wasn’t too bad. The pizza was OK. I asked for thin crust but was still a little too thick for my liking. It was supposed to have mushrooms/pepperoni/mushrooms and while it had all those ingredients on it, they were very, very light. I hate to pay a lot for bread and pizza sauce and in this case, that was what I did pay the most for. This location is right behind the Prince George Hotel where I was staying. Walking through the parking garage brings you on the street just a door or two down from their pizza store. When I go here again? Probably would in a similar situation where I was in a high cost area and want something simple and easy to eat. The prices were very reasonable given that its Canada and most things appear to be outrageous in price. The young lady who waited on me was really nice and really was a bright spot in dealing with the store. I wish all restaurants and stores could have someone with her great customer service skills!

I love Pizza Pizza. I’m from Ontario where I grew up eating Pizza Pizza. I love it. Which is why it pains me to have to write a negative review of this place. But they’ve really, really earned it. Today was the 3rd time they«didn’t get» my online order. Show up to pick it up and nothing. Two hungry crying kids in the car. So why online order you ask? Well… The last time I figured«No more online orders for me» and placed my order by phone. «sorry sir, your order didn’t get placed in the system when you called.» The quality of service is nothing short of horrendous. I’m done with this place. My childhood memories of Pizza Pizza have been tarnished by this location which has consistently messed up my order and provided horrible customer service. Oh…and to make all these experiences worse… they have the nerve to ask me to pay when they’re 25 minutes past their«20 minutes or its free» deadline. Not even an apology. Tips: — Don’t order online — Make SURE you get your pizza free if they’ve failed to meet their deadline — Recognize that ordering from this place is a gamble… they may or may not recieve your order

When it comes to pizza I try to avoid chain restaurants. Pizza Pizza is an exception. Their website is fantastic, you can chose the configuration of your pizza in every detail(including the type of cheese, dough and sauce. It usually takes about 30 minutes for delivery and almost always the person delivering the food is quite polite and respectful. My only complaint is that the Halifax Franchise is a bit more expensive than the ones in Ontario. Also, they have an Iphone app but no Android app. I order from Pizza Pizza quite often and all my devices are Android, It would be nice to get an app for that.

I’m almost ashamed to admit that I, a publicly gluten-free, dairy-free(by choice) individual, am declaring that yes, I do eat the occasional slice of Pizza Pizza. I’ve been to this location twice, and on both occasions it was well past midnight. Pizza Pizza calls out to everyone at that stage of the evening(or shall I say early morning?) with nicely priced slices and the welcoming feel of a place, that for me, is reminiscent of my time a few years ago in Ontario. As a friend happily said upon first bite, «Mmm, it tastes of Ontario!». Yep, that’s EXACTLY what I wanted and expected. It’s the same experience as eating at McDonald’s in Europe. It’s cheap, it’s fast, and the staff are all really nice to you at 2AM. That’s a huge plus in the downtown area where people can get ah, a little rowdy at that time of night. If you’re into gluten and dairy and that sort of thing, Pizza Pizza is good ol’ cheese and sauce and bread, available at any time day or night(apparently). Yum.

Here is the secret, the key to success and a tasty slice. Are you listening? Order on-line. Why? You get to customize baby! The generic format of Pizza Pizza is crap. It is. The sauce is the worst. I remember living in Ottawa and having it delivered through the living room window(no buzzer), and the pizza tasted like it was shoved through an open window, exactly how it was delivered. Here is the solution to the problem: you need the Home Style Italian Sauce, free sweet garlic & olive oil, multi-grain dough and extra bake time that can only be found on-line. It tastes amazing and it’s freakin’ cheap. They once had free delivery and a $ 10-after-10pm-with-4-items special, which was da bomb. It may be back. The on-line ordering changes like the wind, but really, only order it on-line. It is really good when customized, and when it is not, well, it tastes like pizza purchased from a place called Pizza Pizza and delivered through a living room window.

Because i work at a business close by we get a 20% discount here, so one night thought hey i’ll give it a try. So first we called to see if they delivered to our area… The girl on the phone was unbearably rude. She said no, and then very quickly hung up in our ear. I was done at that point, but my roomate really wanted to try it as she had heard good things. Called back, ordered, picked up the pie… We ordered the works with hot peppers. Funny but true, upon opening the box, found it to only have green peppers mushrooms, and hot peppers. No meat at all. Called them right away, and were promptly told that was what we ordered and they couldnt do anything. We were made to feel that because we got that discount, we didnt matter. I will not recommend this place to anyone who stays at the hotel that i work at, food and service was horrible. Do yourself a favor and try Tony’s on Robie.

I cant completely say I hated it but I definitely wouldn’t mind paying a little extra somewhere else for better quality/flavor. cons: –not enough sauce –crust was somewhat cardboard-y to me, not in texture(cause it was very chewy) but more in flavor… as in lacking. –SAUCE: definitely not enough sauce, maybe I just got someone who wasn’t a sauce fan making my pizza? PROS: –I liked the fact that there was deli style ham on my pizza, and not that stuff that looks like it came out of a can(all perfect little squares) –The italian sausage was real good. –pretty cheap pricing –fast delivery

I got a free pizza coupon from H & R Block after I did my taxes so I decided to give it a try. I assumed it was another bland franchise pizza place. I was wrong. It was delicious. The pep & cheese had so much flavor and I really liked the sauce. I enjoy extra sauce and they use ample amounts of it. I can’t say that I am giving an expert opinion but I am a very picky pizza eater. Despite the high salt content, I recommend to anyone. The service was great too and they didn’t scoff ay my coupon(most people do). The restaurant was really clean and the slice selection looked interesting.

It seems like no matter which city I’m in, all Pizza Pizza locations are consistently sub-par. I always give the chain the benefit of the doubt, just because the prices are so reasonable, but irregardless, I’m usually disappointed with the quality of the pizza. When purchasing a slice in-store, the pizzas are usually left standing on the heated platforms which make the pizza dry and cardboard-esque(I notice that the most popular varieties such as pepperoni tend to be a little bit fresher, just because the workers have to keep making them to keep up with demand. Other varieties such as the deluxe pizzas tend to be left out longer, thus spoiling the taste) Deliveries are even more hit-or-miss. Depending on the time it takes for pizza to be shipped to your home/apartment, you might just find that your pizza is lukewarm at best when it arrives at your door. Not exactly mouth-watering. When ordering a pizza at Pizza Pizza, make sure you specify how much of topping you’d like on your pizza if you have a specific taste in mind– I find that the folks at Pizza Pizza use a ton of sauce and cheese, which isn’t my preference at all. Bottom line: this place is alright if you want a cheap slice of pizza, but if you want a quality pizza made fresh to order, I’d suggest hitting up a different pizza joint.

It wasn’t until a recent jaunt along some downtown side-streets that I noticed the existence of Pizza Pizza. A small, fresh looking little shop, my curiosity could only lead to a pop-in. This place has a whole lotta ‘za selection. Great for both veggie and meat lovers, its a chain semi-new to Halifax thats housed in cities all over the country. Despite the obvious stamp of generic, there’s no need to be cynical, as PP divvies out a variety of well made pizza pies. I opted for the garden veggie— fresh, plentiful and hit the spot. As well, it seems very into the«online order», where clients create a profile and order up their favorites with a few clicks of the button. Not sure how well this will fare, as it seems more of a process than to simple call and place an order. But, hey– perhaps its an adjustment worth trying. The website is clear cut and pretty efficient. And for those who like to know what they’re eating, there is a complete list of every pizza and sauce with nutritional details. Sodium, fat, calories, — do you really want to know? The option is there, but as I notice the Grilled Veggie Goat Cheese slice has 1670 grams of sodium… I may go with avoidance on this one. Pizza Pizza serves up a solid slice and takes a fresh approach to pizzeria. Its no custom experience, but it’ll quench a craving and provide lots of option. I’d suggest checking out their website to get the full idea.
