They did the flowers for my wedding and they were perfect. From a few Pinterest photos, they understood exactly what I wanted and delivered perfectly. 100% recommend for weddings, their work got tons of compliments and they were easy to work with.

Great and trusted florists. They’re always ready to create a custom arrangement at the drop of a hat. They keep a good and varied stock of locals and exotics. However, the real review comes when the recipient’s eyes pop open a little bit and they can not hide the little«wow» it brings to them. That’s Props. They do not disappoint. Though I was sad when they moved out of the downtown.

Visiting the shop today after work on Valentine’s Day at 2:30pm why should I expect to find a single red rose??? Because they are a flower shop but I guess they did not expect to sell very many based on my experience. Upon walking in I was given immediate attention. I asked for a single red rose and was offered a selection of left overs and told they were very busy. Good I was thinking it is good to know they are so busy so busy it is not important to stock fresh single roses. Glad to see somebody is doing well. I turned down the sad little pile of roses one of which was even broken in half and all of which had black outer leaves. I was asked by the sales clerk to come back on my way out the door. She proceeded to point out the flowers have guard peddles and proceeded to peel them off one rose until nearly no flower was left. While that trick may work well on a 17 year old boy on Valentine’s Day who does not know any better. It will not work well on me. I have had my share of voluptuous fresh rose flowers. By the way the thought crossed my mind should that not be your job if you feel so strongly about it? You can’t expect me to pay close to 10 dollars rip off alert on Valentine’s Day to be given a shity rose I have to clean myself. This is the first time I have ever heard the term guard peddles ever! It sounds like a load of crap. What about just selling fresh flowers? Better luck at dinner tonight.

Popped in during the annual Christmas tree lighting and was treated to a hot chocolate with Baileys while we shopped. They had a nice little sale going on and I got sets of chalkboard Christmas ornaments for $ 5 each!

Love me some local pretty places… This little shop in the historical Hydrostone looked so pretty I had to go in, and I was not disappointed! Not only were there cool and beautiful looking things all over… but the SMELL! it was like I just walked into the secret garden or something, I mean other than the fact it was inside… and not 1910… ANYWAYS…there are home accent items, but mostly flower related items… and obviously many orders coming through as they were busy creating gorgeous arrangements! I, myself, do not have a green thumb… I basically kill everything that enters my apartment, but the woman working there helped me with what would work best and how to properly care for them, and get the most of my bouquet!(I mean I do understand they are CUT flowers and are technically already dead, but so I can keep them a little longer!) I did find them a little pricey, but, as previously mentioned, I do not know what’s what in the flower business and based on my first purchase… they seem to be of higher quality than any 5 $ bouquet I have bought at Sobeys or Superstore! Plus I love being able to talk to someone about where they are from or what is exciting about this particular kind. If there is a story behind something… I want to hear it!(and it usually makes me buy it too!) So when you’re out picking up a loaf of bread at Julien’s, or when you run out of your liquid gold… I would suggest a quick stop in, it will be worth it if only for the fantastic smell!(but you will probably leave with a beautiful bouquet as well!)

Props Floral Design I have to say caught my eye the other day driving by. It has been on Granville St. since 1998. They always have such fabulous, colourful and vibrant displays of beautiful flowers outside, that it is impossible not to stop. They just jump out at you. On this day, there was beautiful Lime Green Flower Stands and numerous other flowers surrounding the front of the store. This store seems to have a little something extra and I am sure the downtown core loves the fact they are around the corner. They seem to do a lot of business with the downtown businesses, functions, weddings, you might have eaten at certain restaurants where their wonderful arrangements are placed. And for The Guys, they have a Free-Reminder Service, this will keep you out of the Dog House. They will email you a reminder of those special occasion’s when you will get those extra points for walking through the door with that wonderful bouquet. But, if you really want those extra brownie points, Don’t wait for the special occasion!
