You guys suffered from a lot of problems last year, but your recent hirings seem to have ironed out a lot of problems. I find myself getting in and out much faster now and my order hasn’t been messed up in a good while now. Still can’t compare to my favourite Tim Hortons on Young Street, which I stop by each morning, but you’re not«bad» anymore. This makes me gald, as I no longer have any fears when ordering.

If this wasn’t a TIMHORTONS, I’d give one star. But it’s a chain, and I mean… how much can you expect? Like other reviewers, I live right in the hood. I’ve been here plenty. There is DEFINITELY an issue with the majority of the staff. **excuse my shrewdness** It seems they hire from the very bottom of the teenage GPA pool. The preparation area is always a clusterf**k of jokes, small talk… but no one WORKING. It is also quite normal to stand«in line» with a few other people, wondering if you just missed a tornado because there appears to be no staff at all. I have also been«taken care of»(ha) by folks who can only be described with the below story. Me: What’s in the chili combo? Tim Hortons Bad Employee: *Arm draped over the pastry display* uhhhh. You can get a coffee I think. Me: Right. Does it come with a bagel? THBE: *turns to THBE2 next to him* What’s in those stupid combo things? THBE2: It’s a donut Me: Can I get it with a bagel instead? THBE2: Yeah… that would be like a bastardized combo. We could do that. Me: Okay, I’ll get the chili combo with the bagel. Does that INCLUDE a coffee? THBE: *blank face* did you want a coffee? Me: I’m asking if it includes the coffee. THBE: What size do you want? …I won’t go on. Two things: 1) «stupid combo things» 2) «bastardized» FORGODSSAKESGETITTOGETHERGUYS Oh PS, there was also the times I ordered two bagels and was given them served as two bottoms, and two tops. And as fate would have it, I was always the one who got the bottoms :(

This Tim’s is right up the street from my office so when we need a break we’ll run up the hill and grab something. It’s a great location! I will admit, they are not the fastest Tim’s in the city but if you use their drive-thru you will be in and out in decent time. The inside of the restaurant is always clean, and usually has a few regulars sitting around but there’s no trouble finding a table. I find the girls on the cash inside are usually training(not sure if they never change their name badges or they are constantly hiring new people) so they’re slower than the drive-thru folks. They also have trouble with the tea/coffee thing: I don’t do coffee and I’m CONSTANTLY getting coffee instead of tea but I think that’s a Tim’s-wide problem, not just this location. All-in-all a pretty decent, but not the best, Tim’s. Stop by the drive-thru for the best service, or stop by a different Tim’s if you’re really short on time.

Alright. I live in the building right behind this Tim Horton’s and have only been there a handful of times. Honestly, I like Tim Horton’s — I think their sandwiches are decent, and I enjoy their steeped tea(I’ve never been a fan of «fancy» teas). I have never experienced a Tim Horton’s as slow as this one. I think that their drive-thru may run at a reasonable pace(as I stare at it every morning while waiting for my bus), but walk-in-service sucks. I have been the only person in line and it would still take them 5 minutes to make a sandwich. Back in the day, I used to work at Tim Horton’s and with their pre-portioned everything, a sandwich should not take 5 minutes to make. At one time I went to this place with my parent, prior to taking off to The Valley. My arthritic mum was able to hobble around in my parking lot(remember: I live right beside the Tim’s) and clean our entire car of odds and sods that I didn’t want in my apartment(I was moving in) — and I STILL had not received my sandwich. This Tim’s need to step up their game.
