Worth the drive into town. We had a salad, soup and a small pizza. Almost ordered the Philly Steak loaded fries, but decided we couldn’t handle so much. Once we saw them arrive at someone else’s table, we regretted not getting them. Fantastic food!

I have been going to Bread Bar from when it first opened — have been nothing but impressed EXCEPT for this time. I had been raving to my mother-in-law about this restaurant for months. We got the fresh bread and toast to start which was delicious. We should have stopped there. My partner had the cheeseburger and fries — he said the burger was meh and the fries tasted like they had been reheated in the fryer. Mom had the quinoa burger with kale cesar — burger was dry and the salad tasted like pure mayo was the dressing. I had the skillet special and it okay — have had better. It was greasy, salty and the fingerling potatoes tasted like dirt. So disappointing because I really enjoyed it in the past but most likely will not be back. As for the other members in my party they will never return. Service was great on the other hand.

I’ve been to two farm to table restaurants and ordered similar dishes in the space of two weeks so I was able to compare before giving a verdict. This one wins by a whole star! I was hoping for the roast beef sandwich but they were out. I opted for a cheeseburger and spring salad. The Burger was so tender and juicy and piled high with arugula. The fries are light and crispy. I would’ve ordered their pizza because it looked delicious :) I went late afternoon so there weren’t any lines it seating is limited. Must go early. It was worth the drive from Scarborough!

Definitely worth waiting for. The Umami burger was delicious as well as the pizza! The staff was friendly and even thought it was busy you did not feel rushed at all. The Umami burger was flavourful and juicy, will definitely come back!

My daughter and I were for dinner. The quinoa burger was an absolute disappointment — especially for $ 16.00 it appeared no more than quinoa mush between a bun. The ‘meat’ did not hold up, it was too thick and fell apart; the binder appeared to be absent. Sadly, no vegetables in burger. I ended up eating warm quinoa with a fork. Server was lovely but too slow. No hurry to go back.

Bread Bar is hands down one of my favourite places to eat in Hamilton. It’s located on Locke Street which has tons of cute stores to walk past and coffee shops. I’ve been here about five times and the food has been amazing and does not disappoint. I’ve gotten the soup and sandwich combo before, as well as the mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is so good. The pizza is also very well done. I’ve had the Apple and Bacon one before as well as the meat mountain. I would definitely rate the food 5 stars however, service is rather slow. They do mention that the service will be slow with a cute picture at the door but it is actually SO slow. Everytime I come I have to wait about 40 minutes to get my food but it is worth the wait. The servers are also very nice. Will definitely be back soon to try more of their menu!

This restaurant is not very large and the tables fill up quickly. We showed up at around 7:30 on a Friday night and had to wait nearly an hour to get a table. Once we were seated, however, the food was great. We ordered the Fresh Bread and Toast, which was a lovely place of bread with dips(the best one was the hummus). After waiting so long, we were famished, so I didn’t get a pic before we’d scarfed it down. Our group had the Meat Mountain pizza, the Roasted Mushroom pizza and Quinoa Veggie Burgers, one with Roasted Beet salad and the other with Skinny fries. The food was delish(although, after waiting an hour and then waiting for our food, we were pretty hungry), all warm and carb-rich on a chilly January evening. The pizzas are not huge, but substantial; the quinoa burger patties are a good inch high and have flavourful extras, and the Skinny fries are slightly addictive, with a hint of thyme. All the food had good, satisfying and interesting flavours. The service was adequate, but our server was a bit too busy to check on us too much.

This was our first time here, we had the loaded fries with sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onion and feta cheese, which were excellent. Then we each got a pizza, my husband had the vampire slayer which was loaded with roasted garlicky goodness! I had the meat mountain which was pretty close to the best pizza I’ve ever had at a restaurant. All for a very reasonable $ 40. Will definitely make the trip from Toronto to eat there again!

Two stars is for the service of the staff. Extremely overpriced for what you actually get. Pizza had very little taste and milkshake was liquid cream. Wouldn’t recommend

Everything is good, but the bread is just amazingggg. Earth to Table Bar’s bread really sets the bar Only loses a star because it can be hard to get the waitress’ attention(although they’re super sweet about it) and is kind of pricy.

My friend highly recommended me to come here because she loved the pizza. We came here around 7pm on a Thursday night and this place was full. We were told that we needed to wait at least half an hour to fourty five minutes before we could be seated(we were a group of five so we couldn’t make reservations ahead of time). This place is very cozy with chairs and booths on the inside. There wasn’t really a waiting area, so we decided to go grab some coffee and tea at a coffee shop nearby. After roughly a wait time for 40 minutes, we got our table! All of us decided to get one of their signature stone baked pizzas, except one friend who decided to stick with the mac and cheese for $ 15. The stone baked pizzas come in two sizes, my friend and I shared the roasted mushroom($ 14), my other friends got the meat mountain($ 15) and SGT pepper($ 14). We got the pizza, and it was a little unique from the ones you see at pizza pizza. The ingredients seemed pretty organic, but at the same time, I felt like I could easily handmake these myself, so it wasn’t extremely special to my friends and I.

Food was ooooh Kay, I think it was the service that screwed it up. Food took about 40 min, I think it was mainly due slow wait staff. Loaded fries was cold when it got to our table. Waitress didn’t check on us once. Had to flag her down for ketchup, even though we ordered burger and fries. Came to our table twice, once to take order, once to check if we wanted the bill.

We visited Earth to Table Bread Bar before we went to a concert in Hamilton. We tried to make a reservation but they said they can only do that with groups over 6 people. When we arrived, we got a parking spot out front and gave them our phone number as there was a 25 minute wait. This area of Hamilton is really nice and hipster-y so there are a ton of cool shops to look at. We walked down the street, crossed the road, and walked back and by the time we sat down on the bench out front, our table was ready. This place is kind of small. The tables are placed very close together. Our server was really nice and fun. We ordered the mussels and the Bee Sting pizza. We got the mussels because we were curious about the bacon they put on it. It was really great. The 11″ pizza was the perfect amount for 2 people to share. I would gladly get the Bee Sting pizza again. It has a different taste in every bite! Sometimes its spicy, sometimes its neutral, sometimes its sweet! The red sauce is nice. I didn’t want it to end! One thing that was kind of annoying was the washroom situation. They have 2 washrooms, 1 room for men and 1 for women. So you have a packed restaurant, and a line up for the washroom. I think gender neutral washrooms would be a win here considering they are just a room with a toilet and a sink in it. What’s the difference? I went into the mens washroom because, why not? No one was using it. All and all, I would definitely go back. Next time I would want to get desert. Unfortunately we were running late and I didn’t get to indulge! They have lots of great coffees and pastries as well. My friends are going to be moving near this area so I think it will be a perfect excuse to visit again.

We made the trip from Mississauga to to Hamilton just to eat here! Always looking for new food adventures, this place was def worth the trip. We were just really lucky about timing as we walked in and were seated right away. About ten minutes later people were leaving their name at the door to be called when something opened up. The décor is rustic, and welcoming. The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, shout out to our server Sameeya, if you or a coworker reads this, you were awesome. I got an old fashioned ginger beer, so good! My boyfriend got a ginger mojito, which was modified with spiced rum because they ran out of the white rum. It actually turned out delicious like that! For dinner we got the quinoa burger and the Bee Sting pizza, with the watermelon arugula salad. The burger was incredible!!! It is SO nice to have a veggie burger that is made in house and not frozen. The outside was so crunchy and the toppings so light, the bun was delicious too. It wasn’t heavy at all, this is a must have. There was an error with the pizza, meat was supposed to all go on one half, and they put it on all of it. What did they do when they realized their error? They made us a whole other completely veg pizza along with the meat one, so we had one each! Honestly that is customer service. People are human, mess ups happen, it’s how you handle it that counts. This staff understands that. The salad was also top notch, the look of the watermelon threw me for a minute but it was awesome. I am so impressed with all the amazing places to eat in Hamilton that we don’t have in Mississauga. Make the trip, you won’t regret it.

My significant other(SO) and myself visited the restaurant for lunch just before going to the Albion Fall by Hamilton on May 17th. We were seated by a waitress immediately. The restaurant was relatively busy and quiet spacious. You are limited to ordering salad, sandwich or pizza for lunch. I ordered Umami Burger($ 17) and my Apple and Bacon Pizza($ 15). The food took a little bit to come out for us. Umami Burger: The burger comes with a side of soup, salad or fries. You can opt out of a side to save yourself $ 5. I got the Taco salad. True to its name, The taco salad reminded me of hardshell taco from taco bell. Not that this is a bad thing — it had lettuce, tomato, fried tortillas, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and etc, The salad was abundant and felt very crisp and fresh. The burger itself was very good — the crispy Parmesan Cheese had a nice crispy texture, but I would recommend eating it quick — about halfway through my burger, the cheese absorbed moisture and became soggier. The umami sauce and mayo added a nice flavour, which did not feel overly salty or saucy. However, I wish the patty had little more flavour. The patty itself felt little dry. Overall, it was a tasty burger, and the quantity felt pretty big. Apple and Bacon Pizza: My SO’s pizza was white sauce based. The pizza had a good balanced flavour. I had only a bit of the pizza but my SO liked it. However, she did mention that the pizza was little rich and heavy and she took about 3rd back home. Personally, I thought flavour was okay — however, the pizza was little chewier than I expected. I also felt that there was more crust than I would have liked in a typical restaurant pizza. The service was nothing special. There was nothing spectacular or overly annoying. Overall, the food was pretty good, but nothing special about the service. I also would like to note that there is no bread at the beginning of the meal. You have an option to purchase different type of bread here.

Great place to go to for great food! Almost everything is local and farm fresh… Food has always been excellent here and very tasty. The décor is fun, casual, and comfortable with a modern country style. Staff could be a bit more friendly and attentive though.

I’ve been here many times for pizza before and I’ve always been really impressed. But I can’t say the same about my brunch experience here today. I was in the mood for something lighter so I ordered the oatmeal with an apple raisin compote, which sounded delicious. Unfortunately the oatmeal came out only lukewarm and kind of dry, like it had been sitting in the pot for too long. It was also skimpy on the compote. I wouldn’t order this again.
