+ lots of peanut goodies, free samples, friendly service — closing hours I’ve been here several times and each time the staff are friendly and welcome questions about the different products. My favorites are the peanut brittle, chocolate covered pretzels, toasted macaroons, and of course the potato covered nuts. Pricea are very reasonable and all the stock is super fresh. The only downside is they are never open past 6:00pm during the week and they close at 5:00pm on Saturdays.

Feel like your pants aren’t quite snug enough? Miss hearing«hey, fat ass»? People are sitting next to you on the subway? A couple bags of Picard’s peanuts every few days will rapidly, and delightfully, thicken you up. This charming country type store(who knew there’s a stretch of Dundas that could be called«country») is filled with the most calorie laden delights you’ll find in one place, unless, maybe you blended a whole Stuckey’s and injected it intravenously. A great place to load up on Christmas stocking stuffers, an invited to a distant relative’s for a Christmas party last minute gift, and the like. I guess the only down side is with so many people claiming peanuts will kill them straight up dead, peanuts are not the most politically correct gift these days. Wish people would just shut up, sometimes. What’s a bit of death?
