Walking down concession street, I wanted to frequent a local business. For a long time now I have seen signs stating that there is ‘all day breakfast’ — in fact, every window is plastered with this sign. So deciding not to go to a chain, my friend and I walked in and waited to find someone to ask to sit down. That took a few minutes, until a patron told us to just find a place to sit. We waited for another while, until the host/bartender/busperson/whatever finally arrived at our table, with menus. No ‘hi’, no ‘how are you’, nothing. We finally ordered our food after waiting again, and as it was around 11:30 the bar crowd was showing up. After watching her serve the bar folks, while sipping her Tim Horton’s coffee and telling the bar patrons how she never gets to drink her coffee, we waited for at least 10 minutes for her to serve us our coffee(I guess we should have taken the hint, it was not very good). It was almost around 30 minutes before we got our food, and then she disappeared — a gentleman and his daughter came in, sat down, looked around for around 10 minutes, and after that, they decided to leave. We got our bill, finally, and they overcharged for the coffee(clearly it was 1.75 in the scant menu) — when we inquired as to why we were charged almost $ 6 for coffee, she snarkily informed us that that was correct and it was unlimited refills(why would anyone want more refills?). The attitude from this woman was awful, and she was the only worker there. She only cared about the bar folks drinking up a storm, and the people eating seemed to be annoyances to her. Why they advertise breakfast here then is baffling. Couple that with not taking credit cards for their overcharging practices, this place was truly awful. It’s no surprise why no restaurant here survives.
