Trail Estate Winery is a new addition to the Prince Edward Country scene and despite that, they are making some wonderful wines.
After visiting some great wineries and a few that we could have done without, we ventured off the beaten path of Closson Road when we saw a little sign for Trail Estate Winery. Not 2 mins down Benway Road you come across a little yellow building that resembles a small airplane hanger just steps away from both young and old grape vines.
To be quite frank we were apprehensive not knowing what to expect but we were thrilled once we stepped into this tiny but mighty operation.
Trail Estate produces 6 wines, 3 white and 3 red. Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Baco Noir and Cab Franc.
They were all very VERY good wines. I even managed to snag the very last bottle of Pinot Noir for that batch… WIN!
If you are in Prince Edward County or surround, I highly suggest you visit Trail Estate Winery!
