I like this restaurant. I can’t believe it doesn’t have a better score. I have never had a bad meal here. I find the quality great. The meals aren’t huge but the price is fairly reasonable and the quality top notch. Their molten chocolate dessert is delicious. Their onion soup good and I reckon all the mains tasty. This is my ‘go to’ restaurant in Huntsville for a nice meal.

Ocean View Towers Condo, FL
We had a wonderful meal here 2 days ago. We each had the table d’hôtel prime rib roast beef, which was perfectly cooked to medium rare. We sat in the sunroom and had a terrific view of the setting sun. The wait staff were polite and chatty and the meal was served in a timely manner.
We have dined here many times and always leave satisfied.

What a surprise. I heard this place was great. For Huntsville, I was skeptical. But it was really great! Menu was amazing and very hard to choose from the items. I had pickerel and it was delish!

We have never been disappointed at Tall Trees. Travel from Buffalo NY to Huntsville 3 – 4 times every year. Rarely do we miss this place. Usually order the 3 course meal. Only place I ever get Pickerel. If Jay is your server you are in for a treat!

Was very good. Not spectacular but very good fir Huntsville. I enjoyed the local fresh fish that was prepared perfectly. Nice selection of beer and wine on the menu. Appetizer selection in menu was very good.

Our friends really love this place, but my husband and I have been disappointed each time we come here either by the food or the service. For example, the last time we were there, we waited over 40 minutes just to get the bread basket. It seems the message was not conveyed to the server that we were in her area! Once we flagged someone down and the server realized we were hers she made a real effort. My meal was tasty this time (and the butter-​tarts are wonderful) but I would really have to be talked into going to Tall Trees again. PS — you can buy their butter-​tarts at The Butcher’s Daughters.

Ordered the venison medium rare. Portion size was small and the venison was grey around the edges and difficult to cut into. For over $ 30 a dish, I sent it back only to have it returned to me. The chef said it was medium rare and perfectly cooked. Not something you expect from a restaurant charging $ 30+ a plate. Don’t order the wild mushroom soup either, unless you like canned soup. The only wild thing about it was the cost of $ 6.
Overall, the restaurant’s quality was very poor. Best way to describe the restaurant is to compare its food and creativity to that of the tacky 80’s décor. Do not waste your time and money. A birthday dinner for my wife was spoiled.
