Henry’s Cameras

Excellent service! The staff here take the time to listen to customers’ needs, and make recommendations accordingly. Rather than just trying to sell you a pricey piece of equipment, in my experiences here they have made the effort to understand my needs and help me find what will work best for me. Their advice has been very valuable to me.

I have been shopping at Henrys (starting in Toronto) for more years than I would really like to admit (yes — read: decades!) They have great tools and service. I recently had a camera and lens repaired through them; happy with results as it was cheaper than buying new.
They have also held the digital show here in Ottawa for a few years, giving away free tickets to their customers. Now I am completely hooked on digital photography, and never use film anymore. That’s a bit of a shame as I have good film equipment too!
The only negative that comes to mind (yes, very tongue in cheek!) regarding Henry’s is that they don’t have a photo lab in any of their Ottawa stores. It irks me to send them digital shots only to have them printed in Toronto and mailed to me! Although, they used to have a very reputable photo lab in Toronto.
Now I’m off to buy a photo printer from them. I need to calibrate my computer to print photos at home. That’s not so bad — get what you want when you want it! By the way, they sell those calibrators, too.
