Had their, Rollochino(*excuse spelling), which was an espresso English toffee in house made chocolate and steam milk special. It was delicious and also nice with the florentine ! Would definitely be back if I’m in the area again. Got this to go and walked around the park.

Horrible blended coffee!!! I stopped here for a coffee and ordered a blended cappuccino with a double shot. It tasted like skim milk, ice and ash… not very good.

The cappuccino is my favourite in Kelowna — nice large serving too. The chocolate macaroon cookies are incredible. They always have reading material like National Geographic available to read. Also a sweet little outdoor patio to do people watching. The gelato and desserts are a bit pricey.

I am an early riser, and my fiancée is a 9 alarm late snoozer, so when we go on vacation anywhere, instead of sitting quietly in a hotel room, I head out and try to find a hidden gem of a coffee shop. I googled and Unilocaled coffee joints in Kelowna and Giobean is no hidden gem. Anywhere I looked it had already been highly reviewed. Lots of parking available close to Giobean. I went in and the vibe was great, smelled amazing, great looking pastries, and a warm greeting from staff. The first day there, I ordered a caramel macchiato and a raisin scone. Watching the owner work his magic with the coffee was great. You can tell that he truly enjoys what he does. The coffee tasted great, nice amount of milk and foam, hint of caramel but not too sweet letting the coffee be the star. The scone was light and fluffy, raisins that must have been hydrated as they were large and moist, and a light dusting of confectioners sugar. Delicious. Second day I got a Italia Mocha. Again, expertly crafted, a delicious drink that once again let the taste of the coffee rise to the forefront. Biobean is busy! You could tell they knew and appreciated their regulars knowing their orders as they walked in the door. The owner took time to speak with anyone who wanted to chat for a minute. Both days, I also got a drip coffee to go as well, and even bought a bag of beans that they roast to bring home, I am enjoying a cup as I write this actually. Giobean alone would take be on another trip back to Kelowna.

So when we came here — Gio himself was manning the counter. That made me smile. I LOVE and respect a business where the owner knows his clientele, and enjoys his business enough to come in and work it himself. I love that. Tip of the hat to you. The coffee itself was decent — definitely not the best latte i’ve ever had, and my milk was over-steamed and a touch on the burnt side. My husband’s iced americano however was delicious. Next time we’re in town we’ll give it another go. Good spot if you’re walking the boardwalk and need a mid afternoon pick me up :)

Dropped in to this cute, very Euro style café. Great choice very close to the casino. We ordered the Caramel Macchiato and Mocha Italia w/almond milk. My goodness, the smoothest coffee, I’ve had since Brazza in North Vancouver. Wow, great service very charming staff and a wonderfully warm ambiance. Definitely recommend it. They have cold and hot drinks, pastries as well as gluten free treats. Love love love it! I was so comfy there I was kinda sad When I had to go. Go there people! And enjoy, Ciao ciao.

We dropped by at 3:43 pm and would like to order coffee in porcelain cups. A girl behind the counter said no to porcelain cups and offered paper cups only explaining that they are closing at 4:00. We added panini and asked to warm it up but once again it was not possible — Giobean was closing in 15 minutes. So we had to get a cold panini. We didn’t enjoy it — plane taste, our expectations were somewhat different. We believe that customer experience should have been better and there should not be any cuts on service because the place is closing and employees are not payed after hours for time needed for clean up. We faced a very remarkable example when a company interests comes first and customer s” goes second. Giobean enjoys a competition free environment to afford a behaviour like we experienced today.

A warm welcome from the owner Gio puts everything into perspective, and you know you’re in good hands regardless of what you order. The Italian macchiato was prepared perfectly, with just the right amount of milk and foam, and at the absolute perfect temperature. We have been back 4 days in a row on our vacation and will be coming for years to come!

Tonight I was walking with friends by the grand hotel and we wanted something cool and sweet to eat. This place was closing up for the night so we were disappointed but then the waitress opened up for and another group strolling by. So we had a yummy treat of gelato. I had raspberry and lemon. One scoop was plenty!

A very European feeling coffee shop on a sunny corner in Kelowna — lots of folks enjoying their brew on the outside terrace, which is great for people and dog watching. The baristas seem to not only know what they’re doing, but really care about the cups they’re preparing. AND — the Okanagan Cherry Scone was great! Scones can sometimes be too dry, but not this one, and the proportion of cherries to pastry was generous. The buzz was happy, and the brews were good.

Fantastic coffee and deserts. The atmosphere on the other hand is loud and busy. When you have to yell at each other to have a conversation, it’s time to turn the music down. But, it’s still some great coffee.

Great product and friendly service! We were greeted right away upon entry but could take our time to make our choices. I had a caramel macchiato the first day and a latte the next. The baked goods were very tasty too. You could tell the raisin scones and the apricot croissants were fresh baked. There was room to sit either inside or out and we sat outside the second day to watch the marathon runners go by. Pretty as a picture. Thanks Giobean!

As a local, I’m proud to say that GioBean has some of the finest coffee and pastries in Canada. I often go on Saturdays(walk, drive, road bike) and sit and enjoy my coffee, fresh croissant, and sometimes even fresh squeezed orange juice. Regardless of when you go, you are always greeting with a friendly smile and 99% of the time, Giovanni himself is there to make the coffee for you! For Kelowna, this is a local hotspot offering local culture. I love how so many people with their dogs, friends, family, and even those on their bikes park themselves at Giobean. Of all the coffee shops I’ve visited across North America, this is one spot that reminds me of my time in Europe. If you’re anywhere in Central Okanagan, Giobean is a must!

Enjoying my last day visiting Kelowna in what appears to be Kelowna’s local espresso shop. Despite the rain this place is busy. Service was fantastic, scones were the best I’ve ever had and the cappuccino, well I am debating getting a second. Wifi also available free(from Delta-Conf). Until next time, and there will be a next time, so long Giobean. Ciao.

After reading all the reviews for Giobean I was quite excited to try their espresso. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations, coffee is meh. The staff were lovely though and they have a beautiful outside seating area

Stopped in for a morning coffee and the famous freshly-made croissants. The owners are friendly and welcoming to every person who enters the small café. The weather was great and we sat on the outside patio. I had the regular croissant and almond croissant … both amazing.

The very best authentic Italian bar I have ever been to in Canada. I had cappuccino, my hubby tried espresso and we were really satisfied. We returned there second time just before leaving Kelowna, it was so good there! They make fresh orange juice and Italian hot chocolate. I love style of this pleasant bar, with brown leather chairs and I have to mention very clean bathroom. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is so beautiful :) I just would like bar like that in Vancouver as well.
