I am surprised by the reviews here, it did not reflect my experience. Kristi is the owner, and one dedicated lady. She does it all from the prep to the bill, by herself. Yes, you heard me — one person doing everything, by choice. Is she a bit of a perfectionist, in the sense that she wants everything done her way — yes, but it’s her business and I say more power to her!(Perhaps because I am like that myself but regardless, I respect her work ethic and her rules — it’s her place!) The food was fantastic; fresh, delicious, filling and nutritious. Everything we’ve had there has been enjoyed; potato skins, sesame cabbage kim chi coleslaw, pizza and soup. The coffee was excellent as well. The décor is welcoming and in a Café style, she has board games and reading, thought-provoking items about. It is not a large space, perhaps 7 tables. The kitchen is open and clean. Very earth conscious :) She also offers occasional cooking classes, wish I was in town more often to enjoy one! Go with an open heart and mind to be inspired and well fed. Grateful this place is here so I can enjoy leisurely, delicious, satisfying, guilt free lunches with my bestie; thanks Kristi, we’ll be back.

I can’t believe it– these reviews are EXACTLY my sentiments. The owner is quite rude– don’t even think about arriving when she opens, or coming 45 min before closing. Take away is discouraged and shamed. Ordering is rushed, and that debit machine is shoved in front of you before you have taken your last bite. BUT… and this is a big BUT– her food is AMAZING. Everything I have tried so far(and there are quite a few options) has surpassed my expectations. Fresh, colorful, carefully crafted & expertly honed recipes. This is kelowna’s soup nazi… so follow the rules; don’t make eye contact, and order quickly– or «no soup for you!»

The owner of the place was unbelievably rude. If you open up a new business in the area, a smart move would be to be polite to all new customers. She said«duh» as an answer to my questions twice and it shows a lack of people skills. She even called me a «goofball» after having had just walked in and I’ve never met her before. Their to-go containers consist of a small piece of tinfoil and paper towel and the food is very overpriced for lunch. Although the food tasted pretty good, the manners and attitude of the owner completely ruin this restaurant.

I cannot get enough of this place! Fresh, raw & cooked vegan dishes are hard to choose from because EVERYTHING is soooo good! I’ve had a few dishes on my several drop ins, so hard to choose but my favourite would have to be between the gluten free pizza, the artichoke dip & the enchiladas :) That being said the carrot bun is amazing and compliments the mushroom pineapple burger perfectly! Counting down the days till someone takes me out to lunch and asks… «Do you know anywhere good to eat around here?» Till next time gratitude

The food is great, but the attitude of the owner will spoil the dinning experience. We went in the around 1pm on a Saturday. It was about 50% full so we went to sit down at a comfortable looking table and the owner, from the back of the restaurant barked at us «YOUCAN’T SITTHERE! IFITSONLYTWOOFYOUYOUHAVETOSITATTHESMALLTABLES.» My girffriend was pissed off right away and personally I wanted to leave as well. After that the food couldn’t come fast enough and we wanted out of there as soon as possible. You could hear her being a bit of a bitch to other patrons and her staff. If you value the entire dining experience, I wouldn’t go here. But I did enjoy the food itself.

This place used to be in Calgary, and I urge you to read those reviews before considering this café. The manager is extremely rude and borderline abusive. Spend your time and money at places that appreciate the community!

The food is all quite delicious, however the service was overwhelming. Despite the relaxed atmosphere the interior decoration suggests, I felt pressured to make a decision before having thorough time to read over the substantially sized menu. The feeling was akin to that of the«soup nazi». If one is going to enjoy this restaurant come prepared to order and enjoy because the food is killer.
