As authentic as it gets! Absolutely delicious Mexican food and a very homely atmosphere. Head in on a Monday for some $ 5.00 margaritas and Bob’s your uncle!

I have been there several times and the food has always been delish. But i was there last night and the rice was undercooked and chewy. And they apparently ran out of guacamole (which was supposed to come with my burrito), and my burritos were missing their filling. There was only about 1 tsp of shredded chicken in each. I had to borrow a spoon of my husband’s beans to dip my dry tortilla bites into just to swallow (i was hungry, since we waited 40 minutes for our plates to arrive). I could have made empty baked tortillas at home myself for a lot less than $ 16.
And i believe my fiancé and i both have minor food poisoning today after eating there. Not good.

The food has always been amazingly delicious and flavourful. It’s my go-​to-​place when in Kelowna.
The ambiance is fun and décor seems like what a Mexican restaurant should be like. It’s fun and colourful.
I highly recommend Hector’s Casa to anyone looking to eat some great food made of fresh ingredients.

I am a Mexican food lover and hate this place. The food is extremely overpriced, with a serious lack of quality. Rice leaves one wanting more, seasoning that is. Beef is bland and refried beans are soppy and flavourless. The fajitas are pure unadulterated crap to the extent I wouldn’t even serve them to my dog, let alone they are priced higher than gold oz for oz. Beyond that the margaritas taste like they are made out of bottled mix and José Cuervo but in reality they are priced as if they were made from fresh limes and Patrón. All in all I have been disappointed on a variety of occasions by Hector’s Casa and am reluctant to try it ever again, despite it’s close proximity to where I live. Do yourself a favor, if you plan on going to hectors for a four star meal, go to Fernando’s instead, or better yet Latin Fiesta, at least you will leave slightly more satisfied.

This place is family owned and very cozy. It has a nice patio at the back so it’s off the street. Nice and quiet and private.

An absolute gem! The guacamole dip is fantastic and the tacos fresca beef was surprisingly good (I’m originally an Albertan now a Vancouverite). A must when in Kelowna.

Return visit — food was good, but the chimichanga came looking like taquitos — no toppings, just a bed of shredded lettuce and a decorative drizzle of sour cream! Small portions of salsa and guacamole add $ 5.00 to the meal — not worth it! Manager does not care about customer service! Too bad, probably won’t return.

This place is not as good as it used to be. The food is pretty good, but the service is horrible. I went in not too long ago and we waited a very long time just to be seated and the restaurant was practically empty and then the food took a long time to get to our table. I’ve definitely had better Mexican food, so I can’t say it was worth the wait. I hope they hire more staff and go through some serious customer service training.

Had a wonderful dinner at Hectors on the patio tonight. I almost felt like I had been whisked off to Mexico. The mariachi players were excellent along with pretty good service given how busy the patio was. I ordered the special — it was only okay but a couple of the regular menu items ordered by people at our table looked amazing. Wish I had room for dessert — great choices. Would recommend and will go back. I can see why this is a popular restaurant.

The food here was amazing! The service is another story. The service was incredibly slow. It should not take over 2 hours for two people to have dinner at this kind of a restaurant. Once we finally got our dinner we were left alone by the server, our drinks ran out, and it took us forever to be able to order dessert. And then, apparently our «dessert blew up» so they had to make a new one. After finally getting the dessert it was a hassle to get our bill and pay. It’s really unfortunate because the food was great. If you have anywhere to be, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

it does not look very fancy from the outside but once you get in it is really cute and cosy.
The patio looks like a mexican family home patio. Very relaxing and cool decoration.
I ordered the chile relleno. OH MY GOD! was delicious and not very spicy. Lots of cheese inside :) yum and also ordered the tortilla soup.
PLEASE IF YOU GO THERE TRY THEIR TORTILLA SOUP, IT’S DIVINE.
MUST GO THERE IF YOU ARE IN KELOWNA.
The oWner Hector was around waitressing. (I know, and that is why this place ROCKS, THE SECRET OF A SUCCESFUL BUSSINES I SAY)
DON HECTOR WAS always aroud making sure everyone was having a good time, with a smile in their face and making sure the food was excellent.

The food at Hector’s is always freshly made & consistently delicious. The service is great even when the little place is packed (as it often is!). Try the jalapeño poppers if you can get them before they sell out! Reservations recommended most days, but especially Thurs — Sat.
