Everything we ordered was a winner here. We started with the creamy soup topped with flax seed cracker and bacon. Great flavour, loved the crunch from the flax seed cracker and the bacon was a great salty balance to the milder soup. Next we had the Scallops(with Miso Emulsion, Kimchi, Cucumber, Quinoa). Giant scallops seasoned perfectly and went really well with the miso emulsion. The kimchi had bits of chopped ginger with a stronger ginger flavour than your normal just cabbage kimchi. Next up we had the risotto — so good and creamy with the quail egg on top. For our entrée we shared the Wild Moon Organic Berkshire Pork Loin and Braised Shoulder(Corn ‘Gnocchi’, Roasted Corn Relish, Chanterelle Foam). Has a slightly overall Mexican flavour to the dish due to the corn gnocchi and roasted corn relish. This was our favourite of the night. Only criticism is the overly fatty braised pork shoulder where the fat was not rendered down completely. We finished it off with the White Chocolate Dipped Peach Mousse and Arlo’s Rapsberry Jelly(with vanilla poached peached, farror crackle and mint gelato) on our server’s recommendation. SOFREAKIN’ GOOD. Love these sweet Okanagan peaches! Great décor and space. It’s not exactly«water front» but close to the water and boardwalk a block away. Service was fantastic. We were briefly ignored by our main server due to a larger table being seated. She acknowledged it and let us know the reason which was definitely appreciated.

My wife found Waterfront Wines online looking for a place to relax and enjoy glass of wine prior to dinner reservations elsewhere. We were thoroughly impressed from the moment we arrived and Tara greeted and seated us. Tara and all the staff were top notch — kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about entire menu. We stayed for our glass of wine and before leaving, booked reservations for dinner two nights later. And that did not disappoint on all accounts… service, friendliness, wine selection and all menu choices we made — and recommended by Tara. A humble decorated chef, great staff and relaxing venue. Don’t miss Waterfront Wines.

This restaurant was nowhere near the water. We had a view of dump site and weeds. The name alone is false advertising. The food was outrageously expensive and the quantity was teeny tiny. We paid 15 dollars for 3 scallops. Yes I can agree it was tasty but there was basically no food on the plate. I would never come here or tell someone to come here again. Was very disappointed with this restaurant.

Outstanding service, food, and wine. Lovely atmosphere. They were happy to accommodate a preorder on New Year’s Eve which was most impressive. They even have a tv with a crackling fire playing. The atmosphere Is sophisticated, elegant, and welcoming. Amazing service left us feeling relaxed and ready to dance the night away Totally recommend this little gem of taste and quality.

We stopped in here on a Monday evening and were seated immediately. Our experience was great right from the get-go. We began with the Tapas Plate and it was really tasty. Such a nice variety of items — olives, hummus, nuts, etc. There is an extra charge to add cheese or a chèvre spread and we added both. We chose a blue cheese and it was the best I’ve had. Hubby is just beginning to develop a taste for blue cheese and he enjoyed it as much as I did. Then we decided to combine their Marinated Beet Salad with the Grilled Peppercorn Crusted Heritage Angus Flat Iron and both were absolutely delicious. I don’t know when I’ve had such flavourful beets and the meat was so tender I cut it with my fork. Outstanding! We are returning soon. Looking forward to it!

Just stop reading this now, and call them first because you’ll need a reservation to avoid the 2 hour wait… Now there’s nothing else to consider. Everything we ordered was fantastic, but my two favorites were the 1) Risotto Prawns and 2) Flat Iron Steak… Although both the octopus and the beet salad were out of this world. I snuck in a few bites of friends dishes, and noted the Halibut to be fantastic! The chef is consistent and everyone at our table was more than pleased with their experience!

Shhh don’t tell anyone! There has to be a reason why there are only 4 reviews at this point in this restaurant’s career. It must be that people are trying to keep it a secret because of the size. It’s small and intimate inside but the food is bold and amazing. The chef takes chances and most of the time it works. I enjoyed it more than a more well known restaurant down the road(ahem). «Must try» = prawn risotto

I’m soooooooo in love with this restaurant. The quality rivals that of the top restaurants in Vancouver. So it didn’t have a nice view of the lake but other aspects of it made up for it. The service was really good and the cocktails were pretty tasty too. The decore is modern but with a rustic charm to it. More importantly the food is just good. I had the following dishes: 1)Crispy Pakora Battered Calmari w/lime & chili aioli, pickled carrot & cucumber-the calmari were tender and the batter wasn’t thick. I could taste all the components mentioned. The freshness and tartness of the carrot and cucumber balanced out the«heaviness|» of the calmari. The portion was quite healthy too. A good dish to start the rest of my meal. 2)Raviolis stuffed w/braised pork cheek & carbonara w own pancetta — those pork cheek were packed with flavour. The raviolis weren’t overcooked. That carbonara sauce was rich in flavour and really complimented the raviolis. 3)Thiessen farm quails — grilled breast, crispy legs, smoked polenta, red vermouth jus and really cute cut up squash — the presentation was just beautiful. I could taste the grill flavour from those quail brests. The meat were tender, moist and full of flavour. That jus added the necessary liquid to this dish. It was so yummy! 4)BC Spot Prawn Risotto w/roasted fennel, red pepper and candied lemon– Both the risotto and fennel were lightly roasted to give it the«earthy» taste to it. The red pepper added some colour to the dish. More importantly that candied lemon gave bursts of flavour to bites of the risotto. Every bite I took, I wondered if I would get that extra zing from that lemon. What a lovely addition to the rice! Presentation wise, it could be even better if one of the spot prawns was almost in tact because it would be a nice wow factor. Yet it’s still a good dish. I was suppose to only three dishes but I have a hearty appetite and the prawn dish sounded too good to pass. I was really happy with my choices. As for dessert, my experience wasn’t that good. I had to send back two desserts. I ordered the following: 5) apricot bread pudding– according to the server it was the lightest dessert on the menu. The presentation was pretty but the taste wasn’t there. It came with a caramel flavoured tuile or something. It was pretty sticky in my mouth, so I didn’t like it. The icecream on top was nice. It was a deconstructed bread pudding. It came out in two slices. I envisioned it in a little cup, pot or something. To me bread puddings have to be really warm or hot, so it can give off that homey feeling. This one was room temperature and that didn’t appeal to me. This dish didn’t work for me. 6)caramel foam, orange sorbet and chocolate ganache– the server suggested I try the daily special and I didn’t like it. It was way too heavy for me. Visually, it wasn’t pretty at all because the foam wasn’t light and airy rather it was a melted glob. The ganache was too sweet. I only liked the sorbet. In the end, the server offered me two scopes of the sorbet on the house and I finished it. Overall, I love my dining experience at the Waterfront. Most of the dishes blew me away. It could give those Vancouver restaurants a run for its money!

Situated slightly off the downtown core in kelowna, waterfront is a pleasant dining experience. The are only 8 or 9 tables plus bar seating, so you get an intimate feeling right away. We were warmly greeted and given a choice of tables to sit at. They offer a nice cocktail and wine by the glass selection. Entrees and mains were well presented and tasty. We also had a cheese board and shared a nice rhubarb desert. Everything about waterfront is first class, enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. We chose this restaurant on a recommendation from a restaurant reviewer, and it was well worth the visit. We would come back without hesitation. Premium price but worthwhile.
