Good restaurant/bar. Ordered a prime rib steak, tastes good. They sure know how to treat steaks. The rate is fair. Worth to go.

Great Irish themed pub with good food. There is a dining side and a bar side We sat in the pub side and orders from that menu Service was fast and the food was good I’d have no problem recommending this pub

We stopped in Kentville while on a road trip in Nova Scotia and was suggested this place by the operator of the bnb we stayed at. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We had the fish cakes and the quesadilla with the blueberry ale and ravens ale. This was the best quesadilla we’ve ever had, it was full of chicken, cheese and flavour. The banana peppers are a nice touch. The fish cakes were really good and came with special mustard which paired really well with it. The beers were good and it’s nice that they are brewed in house.

Everytime we have a trip to the valley we go here for lunch and/or dinner and the food has always been amazing no matter what you choose. I had the lasagna recently and I was mumbling yummy oohs and aahs the entire time. our server was so friendly and helpful and the food came quickly even though the place was packed for dinner including what looked like a 20 top right next to us. Love this place

Stopped here during a short visit to the Valley looking for fish/seafood and were very satisfied. Service was very quick and friendly, menu was diverse and included some unique non-pub food items, food was great and reasonably priced. The pub includes a micro-brewery so there are lots of beers to choose from, the blueberry ale is fantastic. We sat in a booth next to the bar on a Saturday night so it was a bit loud but only because of one select individual. There is also a less-busy restaurant section(Rosie’s) next door.

We stopped in here after a visit to the zoo. We sat on the Rosie side of the restaurant. The atmosphere was very homely and probably better suited to an older audience(should have sat on the pub side). We started out with the nachos. Great size serving and very good. Nothing special but a great set of nachos. I then had my famously always order at new restaurant choice of fish and chips. The portion size was regular, however, the batter was very plain and a little over cooked. I would expect a little more from a pub with all of those delicious beers to make a nice batter. The fries were frozen. So easy to make. Why not make fresh cut fries to order! I did like how they added fresh blueberries to my Blueberry ale! My wife had the lasagna. Again. Nothing special and she stated the Caesar was the best part. Very average. Staff was nice though!

We pretty much always stop at either this location or the Wolfville one when we visit the Valley. I have never had bad food or service at either location — and both Paddy’s and Rosie’s are great(Paddy’s is more of a pub atmosphere, whereas Rosie’s is more of a diner). It’s just your usual pub food, mostly, so nothing exciting but everything is really tasty and the beer they brew is great as well — and affordable! A large pint is less than $ 6, which is way cheaper than in the city(I think they really cater to students, particularly at the Wolfville location). The sampler is a great deal if you’re not sure what to try($ 5.99 for a tray of 6 different kinds — good portions). The process of exchanging growlers is a little strange here(apparently they are not supposed to do it inside, so you have to go out back, where someone meets you, etc etc… fine, but a tad convoluted), but it’s still convenient that you can get yours refilled at any of the locations(and with a growler from any brewpub, which I only learned recently). They have brunch 11am-3pm on Sunday’s, which is great if you love breakfast/brunch food like me. On my last visit I had fish cakes eggs benedict, which is basically eggs benny but with two fish cakes instead of english muffins — I thought this was quite creative — nothing I have ever seen on a menu before — and added an interesting flavour/Maritime twist to the dish. All in all, a great choice for a meal in the Valley!

Brother and I were in for lunch on a Thursday. First time at this location, staff were very friendly and the food was great. Will be coming back for sure. A local told us that the place is always busy which is usually a good sign. Recommended…

Two words: Donair. Burger. We visited Paddy’s in Kentville at the tail end of an eventful trip to the valley, and I wasn’t sure what I was feeling for dinner. I had a cold and was tired, and just kind of wanted comfort food. But then I saw the donair burger, and I knew I had to try it. I’m so glad I did! A thick, juicy burger made out of spicy donair meat, topped with sweet donair sauce, tomatos and onions. I fell in love. I only wish I’d been hungry enough to finish it. Boyfriend liked his lasagna and garlic toast, and their fries were decent too. Overall this was a comfortable, laid-back place to eat and I’d definitely consider stopping in again.

This is an excellent local restaurant. They have a great menu and their food is always delicious. They also have a great selection of locally manufactured micro-brewery beer. Try the beer sampler witch provides a selection of various beers from dark to light. For a great weekend treat, stop in for their weekend brunch. It is fantastic. In addition to food, the staff is really great here and will always go the extra mile to give you a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

This split personality establishment consists of Rosie’s, a family style restaurant on one side and Paddy’s, a more pub style eatery on the other. They share the same kitchen, and more or less the same menu. Both have ample seating with a good mix of booths and tables with chairs. The main difference between these two restaurants seems to be their atmospheres. Rosie’s, being the family-oriented one, has brighter lighting and more vivid colours and patterns on the walls and furniture. Paddy’s is more dimly-lit with more of a rugged feel to the décor. Both are equally enjoyable depending on your mood, preferences, and the people you are with at the time. I’ve always found the food at Paddy’s/Rosie’s to be delicious. I usually like to try something new every time I go, and have rarely been disappointed. The service is always extremely friendly, and prompt, and the staff are helpful about accomodating food allergies as well. Try the Kahlua cheescake. It will change your life. Well, maybe not, but it will at least taste damn good…
