Went in with some friends for their trivia on Wednesday. The place has a really nice ambience and a fairly nice selection of craft beers, wines and cocktails. Had a beer called broadhead nut Brown beer and another called strongman Belgian quad. Beer was $ 8 a pint which is quite a bit more then your usual beer but was worth it considering that they tasted so good. There is no food here so bring your own. The trivia night is quite fun with a group of friends and is a great way to spend a Wednesday night to get over the hump. Overall a nice place to have a good night with friends. Based on tonight I give it 4⁄5

Such a great place to go to grab a drink or cozy night out with friends and board games :) Love the atmosphere and service here. I’ve had the caesar a few times and the soho — both are really good especially the caesar! Prices are decent, not the cheapest for sure but could be worse. I recommend it to all my friends who want to go out but not get too crazy :)

Don’t order the Long Island iced tea… Not sure what liquors there are and what kinda coke they used to mix it

This place confuses me… Its a night club with expensive craft beer. The staff don’t know craft beer, well, at least the girl we had… It’s not my kind of place, I feel like they should be serving vodka red Bulls, PBR, and 50 here, but what do I know, I’m old and there is a huge ass University in this city. Cheers anyway.

Since they opened, the atmosphere has changed lots. I think the type of beer they’re serving is about the same, though cask ales aren’t as regular an occurrence as they used to be. The servers don’t really know much anymore… I’ve had servers talk about how good a $ 17 bottle of beer is, got it, and it was failed to be mentioned that it was a really sour ale… Another server said a beer was ‘well balanced’ but it was ridiculously sweet, or way too hoppy. I still like going there, but not as much as a while ago.

The Alibi is fairly new to Princess street, and has a great location that is filled with character, not unlike a lot of the downtown buildings in Kingston. What’s interesting is that although there isn’t a kitchen on site, I think you are allowed to bring outside food into the bar, if you so choose. There’s a great list of craft beers along with a decent list of wine by the glass. It’s small, so you might be waiting for a table, especially on Wed nights when they start trivia at 9PM. It’s a nice place to meet up, hang out, and when the weather is good, check out the patio out front.
