Went here last night and had the sausage fest platter.(3 unique sausages, ribs, a pretzel bun and coleslaw). It was $ 29 and was more than enough food for my husband and I. Every item on it was perfectly spiced and elevated from its usual pub-fare mediocrity. Our server was very sweet, and the booths made feel it really private and cozy. I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes, because the menu looks really unique.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful in ambience. The service was also really great, some people in my party had dietary restrictions and they were more than accommodating. We went there for a graduation lunch. The crispy pig ears was surprisingly delicious! I encourage everyone to try it. The pizza was amazing as well. I tried the fish tacos. They were a little sub par. Lacked flavor. The burger was so tiny lol but I guess they made up for it with a heap ton of fries. Other than those minor things it was still good!

Our extended family have a hard time picking a restaurant to celebrate family occasions because some of our loved ones carry EpiPens because of peanut allergies, shellfish allergies, as well as suffer from gluten intolerance. We can relax when we go to this restaurant because the waiters take these allergies seriously and work with the chef(s) in order to answer questions and alleviate anxieties. Imagine being able to attend a family event knowing that your kids, wives or husbands don’t have to worry about what they are eating. I found the quality of the food to be excellent.

Five stars for a Kitchener restaurant for sure. First off one thing one should and might appreciate is the noise level. If you look at the ceiling great effort was made to reduce noise level by way of sound dampening foam. It allows you to enjoy your conversation with your party without screaming and enjoy high ceilings. Other restaurants should benchmark what was done here(might be the engineer in my brain). Beer selection was excellent with craft and mainline available on draft. Bottle and can selection is very good as well. Nice euro lagers, pilsners and the like all the while some nice local. Food is well priced, well plated, and quite tasty. We shared fish tacos and they were very good(haddock is deep fried and breaded) and it had a nice summer flavour with fresh herbs. I had the«tender» steak perfectly cooked on a massive serving of what appeared fresh cut shoe string french fries(my favorite). Too many to eat but we’re very good. The side of aioli was one of my best. Highly recommend their charbroiled steaks. My wife had the cod and really enjoyed it. She wished she could finish it all. Well prepared along with all the sides such as rice cake, and baby bok choy. Overall a great place for our area. Food is excellent, atmosphere is warm and close to the highway. Perhaps not the nicest part of town but is a hidden gem. I would recommend to any my friends to try it out as you cannot go wrong.

really good food. My friend and I tried their new menu, $ 29 for three courses is a pretty good deal. I really love the chicken liver source and apple tart. Braised beef chilli is also great, soft and seasoning. Will try their other food again.

Nice ambiance and a good attention to details in the cutlery, menus etc. We had the margarita pizza, Cesar salad and chicken wings. The server was very attentive and polite. I would recommend it to others. The have free wifi also. A good service and dinning experience. No kids menu though.

Everything about the restaurant was top-notch and the prices were very reasonable, especially the winter comfort food special. The décor is beautiful, the staff were very professional and the food was excellent. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Visited for lunch on a Saturday in February. You would think they have had time to pack away the Christmas decorations! They were still out in the lobby and the centre piece on the table. REALLY? We were seated in a both that was hard to slide over. The three of us just wanted a light lunch. My mother had the soup(squash) which she said was just ok($ 7).(ALMOST as good as the kind Campbell’s makes.) She also ordered a green salad($ 7) A variety of greens with a tasteless dressing on it. Waiter seemed almost surprised when she asked for salt and pepper. Of course he had to go find them! My friend ordered a chicken sandwich that was passable($ 16) it came with home made fries.(no whole wheat served, … only white) I had wings that I ordered extra hot. They were served ok but nothing special again. The best part was the garnish of pickled green beans and a piece of pickled beet. Service was not particularly good. No refills on the water etc. Would not recommend this restaurant and would probably not go back willingly. Too expensive for what you get. No ambience(old Christmas decorations do nothing for me in February!)

The waitress was friendly. The Caesar(drink) is the best Caesar I’ve ever had. I am a licensed bartender; Caesar is my favorite cocktail; almost every restaurant have its own recipe for this drink. I have to say, this store has the best Caesar recipe(to me personally). The food is nice. I like the way they cook pig ears. We ordered duck cassoulet and short rib. The duck can be rated 5 stars, and the short rib was well cooked(so soft that melts in my mouth). The sauce for the short rib was nice, but I think it can be a little tastier. The fried triangle potato surprised me a little bit. Overall, everything was above average. It is a little gem in Kitchener. If only rating on the food itself I would give a 3 star. But the price is fair and it is in Kitchener plus the Caesar is super, I would bounce it to a 4 star rating.

Fork and Cork is located where TJ’s Roundhouse was and is a big upgrade. It’s new and trendy and is bound to please the young professionals in the area. The restaurant is farm to table, and has a changing menu that includes local ingredients. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions of the food. We started with some smoked potted trout, crispy pig ears, deep fried brussels sprouts, and my grandma got the soup. The crispy pig ears are definitely worth a try if you’ve never had them before. Kind of like bacon but they melt in your mouth due to the gelatin. The Brussels sprouts were also quite tasty. As a group we got the mac n cheese, burger, pizza, beet salad and rare beef salad. The beet salad is good but be prepared for a lot of beets. Might be a better salad to share but it is quite pretty. My sister seems to love the burger as it wasn’t her first time ordering it. If I went back again I’d probably get the burger. The downfall was some of the food like the pizza didn’t come hot or even that warm, also my grandma’s tea was cold. But the server was very friendly and the menu is great. I wish the Fork and Cork much success.

Finally got to check this place out the other day! My partner and were I kindly greeted and sat. We were immediately impressed with the menu. My partner is gluten free, so he was ecstatic to discover they offered gluten free pasta. We both ordered the tomato caper pasta, which was absolutely delicious. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic, and the food came out quickly. The décor is very nice, it’s clean and sets a mood. I heard of a covered patio — I’ll have to check that out next time I’m there!

My husband took me to the Fork and Cork Grill for my birthday and WOW it was amazing!!! We met chef Eric personally, he came out to our table and we complimented him on the superb menu! The appetizers and entrée we so awesome. Wings to die for and fettuccini was delicious. It is our favourite restaurant! Can’t wait to come backs! Thumbs up chef Eric and owners of the Fork and Cork Grill! Our waiter, Tylor, did an amazing job as well! Steve and Jennifer

From the moment I walked in, I felt very unwelcome. Our server was very short with us throughout the entire service. I ordered the pizza and it was mediocre at best. Our server never checked in to see how the food was nor did he offer to get more drinks. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend the place and will not be returning

It was our first time to Fork and Cork and certainly will not be our last. From the friendly host at the door to our knowledgeable, efficient server I was impressed with the hospitality. The atmosphere is modern and a little more relaxed and casual than I had expected. Our server was well dressed and very friendly. My wife and I were very impressed by our young server. She had knowledge of the whole menu as well as suggestions. She even had a sense of humour that really made us feel welcome! The food was just as impressive as the service. I have never had a better«GRILLEDPORKCHOP» than the one I was served. My wife had the«BRAISEDBEEFSTUFFEDBURGER» and thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend ether of these entrées. Overall a great night and good bang for your buck. I will be recommending F&C to my friends and family.

We were looking forward to celebrating our daughter-in-law’s birthday last night. The online menu was intriguing and I felt a glimmer of hope that the huge gap left in KW’s dining options when Verses closed might be somewhat filled. Definitely not. The place looks classy from outside, but inside is kind of roadhouse. Exposed ductwork, and predominantly dark charcoal décor would benefit from some white table linens. I was also a bit disappointed to see bar-height tables and chairs when we walked in. However, there are also regular height tables further in. The place seems to be part sports bar, complete with tvs tuned to sports behind the bar. We were greeted by a nice young man, and I told him we had a reservation. However, when he seated us. He took us to a table set for two. When I told him there would be four, he seemed surprised, and then dithered a bit about where to seat us. However, I guess this is inexperience but small details, like looking to see how many people a reservation is for, are part of that all important first impression. A nice feature of the restaurant is that they offer both still and sparkling water free of charge, and bring it by the carafe. Our appetizers drew mixed reviews. My husband had the Papusas, which were very good. I had the Squash Blossoms, which were also very good, but I was surprised that they were spicy-hot. Not overly so, but if you are not a fan of spicy, it would have been good to have it mentioned either on the menu or by the server. Our son had the Sweetbreads and was disappointed that their delicate flavour was overpowered by the sauce — which they were coated in, almost like chicken wings. His wife had a green salad which she immediately proclaimed too salty, and was not able to finish. Our table also shared the Heirloom Tomato Salad, which was good, but could have used more seasoning to bring out the flavour. Our main courses were quite good. My husband had steak, which was well cooked, but was accompanied by green beans that had been over-grilled and were inedible, as were the fingerling potatoes. My fried chicken and accompanying roast corn on the cob was really good, and my husband enjoyed the side dish of Apple kimchi(made in house) as I am not a fan. There was also baby chard, which was cold, soggy, and in a very salty hoisin type sauce. Our son had Yellowfin Tuna which was well seasoned. But the bed of greens served with it were, like his wife’s salad, over salty. He did not eat the greens. We told the server(because she asked) how our food was, and she said she would talk to the kitchen and the owner.(More on that later.) Our daughter-in-law had the Ravioli, which was good. Dessert was a bit more successful, with both the crème brûlée and the roasted peaches with ginger ice cream being good. My goat’s cheese cheesecake arrived in a mason jar, and was grainy. It was advertised as having lemon curd, but I couldn’t find it, it had some sort of berry topping. The coffee is wonderful, but it took 30 minutes for us to be asked if we wanted it, and another 20 or 30 before we got a chance to ask for refills, which we also had to wait for. We had several different servers during the three hours it took for the meal. We also had to hunt someone down to get our bill. Having heard our complaints about our food, the owner came to our table. Instead of apologizing, he tried to explain that maybe it was because the tuna was seasoned with malt salt, and when we pointed out the greens that weren’t with the tuna were also salty, glossed over it. He said something along the line of «but you’re okay with everything?» Obviously not open to hearing anything else. It had been a long evening with too much waiting, and we wanted out of there, so we didn’t press it. Our bill, with 1 beer, 1 martini, a gin and tonic and two glasses of wine, was $ 246. We will not go back. I said as much when we were outside going to our car, and a young couple heard me. They told me that they were also disappointed and would not go back.

Excellent upscale restaurant with reasonable prices. My wife and I celebrated a special occasion here last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. She had an heirloom tomato salad and the falafel platter. The platter was huge, with an array of tasty dips along with the falafel and crispy pita wedges. I had the cheese plate to start, with generous portions of four tasty cheeses. My main, the fried chicken, was out of this world. They originally brought me the wrong entrée, but realized their mistake immediately and brought out the right order in just a few minutes. Despite the flub, I was impressed with how quickly they resolved it. If you don’t finish your bottle of wine, you can take home the rest at no charge. We took advantage of this! For dessert we had crème brûlée — like everything else this was delicious. Our total came to about $ 100 including wine, which I felt was fantastic value. People were dressed pretty casually, but the surroundings are nice enough that you wouldn’t feel out of place if you came dressed up. We will definitely be back!

I went with some friends and family to Fork & Grill and I have to say it is worth the drive to Kitchener. The service was fast and friendly, but I never felt over whelmed by our server. They have an amazing wine and drink selection so no matter what you are looking for they will have something that will excite your taste buds. The chef here creates such an assortment of different foods from veal sweetbreads to double stuffed ravioli to spaghetti with duck. I found myself having trouble trying to determine what to eat first. I plan on going back again to try some of the other plates that I wasn’t able to try the first time.

When I heard a chef from Buca in Toronto was opening his own restaurant in Kitchener, I immediately made reservations for my boyfriend’s birthday and then spent the next week perusing the menu. It definitely draws some inspiration from Buca but tones it down a few notches for the average, less adventurous diner. It’s a lot larger inside than I expected with a nice upscale but not stuffy ambiance. The staff are fantastic, extremely efficient, and friendly. Now for the food: I started with the shoots and greens salad with white bean purée, burrata, confit tomatoes, and basil oil. The confit tomatoes were fabulous but I think it needed a pinch of salt to help tease out the rest of flavours. It was still delicious though! My main dish was the double stuffed pea and goat cheese ravioli(the pasta was made in house) with snap peas and white wine butter sauce. Oh man, that tangy cheese, the crisp sweetness of the snap peas, the buttery sauce… What a perfect medley of flavours! I tried my boyfriend’s duck poutine and beer and bacon mac & cheese — both were as delicious as you would expect them to be. To end the meal we split the chocolate brownie, which was so dense and rich. The dulce de leche was a great accompaniment too. A solid restaurant that I’d definitely recommend to diners across the spectrum. Glad to have another great place join the scene in the KW!
