We have been to Beatnik’s several times while visiting Ft. Langley. In the past we’ve always been pleased with the food and service. This last time three of us ordered the short ribs. My wife and my cousin’s meal were up to expectations. Mine was not. As usual there were three pieces of «meat» smothered in BBQ sauce, upon cutting into the«meat», however, two were just lumps of fat with small veins of meat. My wife and cousin are«never complain» people so I did not. I will go back, but next time if not up standard, I will speak to management.

We had a coupon from the Entertainment book and had heard many good things about this restaurant, so we decided to go and check it out. We attended on a Tuesday afternoon at lunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We brought our 4 year old son. We arrived just in time to get a table, but it was near the door, and somewhat cold. While our food arrived on time and tasted good, I don’t think i could stomach paying the full price for what we got(we paid 24 $ with tip for burger and fries and fish and chips. This was AFTER our coupon discount of $ 15). The meals were somewhat on the small size. The burger and fish were good, but the french fries had much to be desired. Service was fast, but impersonal. Almost zero eye contact made. That said, the place was full and other people seemed to be having a very good time. There were many older people in the restaurant at that time, and we were the only family, so we did feel a little out of place. I would choose going elsewhere so I could get a little more bang for my buck.

A wonderfully romantic little get away. A must is the artisan salad with warm chicken added. Other greats are the meat dishes or specials. Great staff… Good eats… nice place for a hand in hand walk after. Nice patio on a nice day.

This place is AMAZING! I had the fish of the day which was sockeye salmon. The presentation of this dish and the taste matched… excellent flavors. My wife had the scallop dish which came with lentils flavored with bacon, a cauliflower purée and carrots. The scallops were perfectly done. The restaurant is in a house from 1933… very quaint. You won’t be disappointed.

Such a comfy and pleasant atmosphere. Really good gluten free choices and that drink menu — that was fantastic. The patio is definitely the place to be! And the staff are so friendly and calm, definitely adding to the feel of the place. Heck, even the bathroom was nice to be in! Everything this lovely establishment has to offer certainly fits in well with the pleasant, lazy weekend ambience of Fort Langley.

Was skeptical at first, as everything in The Fort is cute as hell, but not always as good as hoped for. However, after being here several times, I can easily say this place does not disappoint. Their patio is amazing, but to me its the food that has me raving or raving mad. This place has the goods in every part of the menu. The inventive drinks have me captivated. The Sangria’s they have invented will have me experimenting to recreate them for some time. Try the Purple haze… its a crazy concoction of local blueberry wine, limoncello and other fruit… i could drink a kayak full of it! The burgers and appetizers are really great, and they even house make their gluten free buns. The coconut prawns are not oily or overbaked, but perfectly crispy little yummy sea candy. Even the salads are fantastic. Their warm caramelized pear salad with walnuts, blue cheese and a very interesting warm viniagrette with a whisper of cinnamon floored me. They just have the little details down that make it a worthy experience. Who knew a beatnik could be so square on the details…*clicks fingers*

My friends and I visited Beatnik’s on a very hot June afternoon and we had such a lovely time. We waited about 45 minutes for a table on the patio, and the wait was very pleasant: soft, well-kept green grass to sit on and very organized, friendly hostesses who seated with alacrity and kept everything moving.(It would have been nice to be offered water, actually.) The food and service were a delight as well. Our server was professional, friendly, and prompt, and we all enjoyed our meals. I had a salad, which normally doesn’t satisfy me(years of eating from the salad section as a vegan), but in fact it was delightful. Grilled pear, walnuts, and arugula perfectly dressed. My friends enjoyed their meals as well — the Beatnik’s veggie burger is firm and flavourful. We also enjoyed our sangria and found it plentiful for the cost! Thanks Beatnik’s!

My favourite restaurant… the butternut squash ravioli is amazing as is the poached pear and blue cheese flatbread and the roasted pear salad. Ultimately, I’ve never had a meal I didn’t love and the service is impeccable.

This place has the best beef dip I have ever had, and I have been all across Canada and the US. Thanks to Donna, my best friend ever for bringing me here, I’m a happy guy!

So this place is pretty much a foody’s paradise. They make most things in-house, I had the butternut squash soup and even the goat cheese was home made. It was sooo delicious. The wine was also great and the whole atmosphere is warm, cosy, and just perfect on a cold NorthWest day. Always a favorite and will be back here when in town again.

What a pleasant surprise! We had the best server, she definitely made the experience. The food was unbelievable, I had the coconut prawns and the tuna poke, both were delicious. Drinks were pretty good too, had the pimms cup & a Caesar. Will be back for sure!

Food was delicious. The wings were crispy and the flavour was really nice. The burgers + yam fries were also pretty good. This review could’ve been a four star one if we didn’t receive the worst customer service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The owner, Angela was incredibly rude to us. She made it seem like serving was a hassle for her. She gave us a hard time serving one of the adults alcohol. She treated us like we were twelve, forgot to give utensils, we had to ask for water and for water refills and the worst thing was that we saw her giving excellent service to the table right next to us. We were a larger table of Asian-Canadians(maybe she’s racist?) with young children but we were well behaved guests and we did not feel valued.

Never had a bad experience here. One of the nicest spots to hit in the Fort Langley area, especially for patio in the warmer months. Friendly service, good food and casual atmosphere. The arctic char is a very good dish.

Located in touristy and crafty Fort Langley, Beatniks Bistro fits right in to the hippy-ish scene. Parking in the area is a pain in the backside(so much so that I was cursing my friend who suggested we try this place) even on a low-traffic day(we went for lunch on New Year’s Eve). I can’t imagine visiting this area on a summer weekend(!) Once you’ve managed to park and made your way inside the Bistro, your senses will be assaulted by the horrific volume of noise in the room. It’s not that the place is large or frequented by Yelly McShoutersons, but rather the acoustics of the room grabs sound and throw it back down on you. Ouch. While the wait staff was friendly and attentive to just the right degree, the way they rushed around with heavy thumping footsteps gave the place a frantic, panic-y feeling. Our lunch choices were simple, but tasty — artichoke dip, yam fries and artisan salads(lots of great ingredients and lovely dressing in the latter), but the ambience put me off such that I likely won’t go back to try the dinner menu.
