Damiko Sushi

A good place for affordable sushi…
When I first discovered Damiko Sushi it was a Great! Place to eat.
In the past year Damiko has changed considerably from cleanliness to quality and service.
I will continue to visit Damiko however I have relegated it to quick and cheap sushi.

Damiko Sushi used to be my family’s go to place for Sushi. It is in a great location and their combo meals were great for the amount you received. However we stopped going here due to the fact they kept on messing up our take out orders. Granted this was a few years ago so I can’t really comment on how consistent they are now with their take out service. Last week I was craving sushi (as one does) and I thought I would try Damiko again. I found the meal to be a bit pricey, and the rice has zero seasoning. For sushi, especially when you are eating Nigiri sushi, the rice is just as important as the fish. No flavour in the rice equals bland sushi. Slightly disappointed. I did however order their Red Dragon roll and it was delicious.
Take out service seems to be better, it was ready when I arrived so I did not have to wait. Presentation was also nice, but I think I will be staying with my usual place.

I was so impressed with them! I was just currently diagnosed celiac disease so I can no longer ingest gluten. When I asked if the wasabi was gluten free they brought out there product to show me and it was! Also they carry gluten free soya sauce! I was impressed and felt like they actually cared.
I was at sushi Mori in Langley recently and when I asked if their wasabi was gluten free I got a quick answer «No» and then I asked do u carry gluten free soya sauce and again I was told «no».
So I am very pleased with Damiko and having these choices for us less fortunate and can’t consume the gluten! Two thumbs up!
Also the staff is so friendly and nice! Our waitress is always so sweet!
They go out of the way to please
My Four year old who won’t eat any sushi always wants sushi and they always bring him out some! Again sushi Mori also didn’t carry strawberries! So I was glad I packed cut up apples so he didn’t suffer

Walking in you find a very typical little sushi place. Our server greeted us almost immediately and with a smile and showed us to our seats. The menu is well made and nicely varied. I went with a lunch box while my husband chose some rolls.
We were given our food fairly quickly and the dishes were very pretty. The fish was very fresh and the tempura was crispy. Only thing that bothered me a little was that the paint on my bento box seemed to be flaking off with every wash and it made me concerned I might consume some with the next bite. But I don’t think i did.
I was very satisfied with my lunch box while my husband fell in love with the smoked salmon. We will definitely be coming back for more.

This is our «go to» place for sushi in the area. We’ve tried most of the sushi places around here and this one is the best. We order take out from here about once a week. Really like the teriyaki dinners, spicy rolls, and sashimi.

Great little sushi place — I’ve been here several time and always pleased with the quality of food and speed of service. The sushi is pretty darn good for out of the city standards and the setting is cozy. They don’t rush you out the door at closing either. It’s a bit on the pricey side for what you get, however.

Their food isn’t bad for a small neighborhood sushi joint, but they charge downtown Vancouver price for their mediocre food, which I don’t appreciate.

Weird. I’m reading the previous reviews and everyone seems happy with it. I just grabbed take out lunch from there and it was horrible. My kappa roll was a hot mess. It was falling apart and all the cucumbers were different sizes, looked thrown together and sloppy. My BC roll was smothered in BBQ sauce and was falling apart and sloppy. The skin wasn’t as crispy as I like it and the way I typically get it from good sushi restaurants. I wasn’t totally happy with it. Maybe it was a bad day. Wasn’t even busy when I went in, don’t understand why it was so thrown together and sloppy.

Damiko Sushi is a small place, off busy 200 street in Langley. I have gone here about 4 times now, and have had good service each time.
One thing I really like, is their Negitoro Rolls, they include a little bit of avocado in them! If that is a standard thing, I haven’t come across it anywhere else. Simply unexpected, for me, and tasty.
Prices are slightly higher than the places I frequent in Walnut Grove, but still reasonable.
Yay, I’m a fan!

Second best Sushi in Langley! Best is Ninja Sushi near H-​Mart!

I was hoping to fulfill my Japanese fix this day, but came up short. I love UDON! Our party of 4 oredered: Tempura Udon w/​tempura on the side, Beef Teriyaki Bento Box, Spicy tuna roll, and a Chicken Teriyaki Donburi bowl. Roughly priced around $ 45. Overall, it was just OKAY. Service was alright as well. I like to think I know my Japanese taste buds well, and they were not really feeling it here…

I was apprehensive about Sushi outside of Vancouver, but encouraged by the reviews I saw on
for Damiko. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and price of the sushi here. Washington roll was very impressive — salmon was excellent quality. I dont usually order fake crab meat, but also very impressed with the way they use it here in many of their rolls. I would definitely recommend Damiko to all sushi lovers.

Great little Japanese food place. We’ve only eaten inside once, but have had take out quite often for Dinner.
Orders have been 100% accurate when placed over the phone, always ready when they say. Typical order is ready in 15 minutes.
Value for the price is fantastic. Food is fresh and we’ve never had a complaint.
We’ve ordered everything from their combination dinners, to their fusion rolls and party trays and never been disappointed.
