I never had any problem with Safeway, even though I don’t shop there often, anyway I visited this location for the first time to buy cheese because it was almost 11 pm and supperstoe & other store were closing. When I went to safeway, first thing the cheese was overpriced I buy the same brand & size from other stores for 5 $ but Safeway sell it for 9.75 $!!!
Aside form the price, the cheese was moldy!!! Funny enough they were putting the cheese on sale
I didn’t buy anything and I won’t go their again NEVER

I think that part of the charm is that this hasn’t been renovated. I came here years ago to pick up some ice and a platter when there was a lady’s night with some of the G-​friends who lived in Langley.

Surprised to see this one hasn’t been remodelled, even says «Food and Drug» on the outside.
But you can always expect friendly service here, worker got me a plastic bag as I was looking around in the produce section. This part actually is more up to date.

This store is so disappointing! I went there today for two things they had advertised on sale… and they only had one of them in stock. Why advertise something and not have it in stock? Not cool. Then when I went to pay I stupidly decided to use self check out. Both things I was buying did not scan and there was no employee at the self check out to help me! I had to stand around until the cashier manning it decided to stroll over and do her job. Open more tills!

Today I was somewhat irritated when I was checking out. They had only one checkout open and the customer in front of me had quite a few items. Fair enough as it was NOT an express checkout and like the rest of us customers, he needed his groceries.
But, what did piss me off was that there were two ladies who worked there, having a conversation about someone being «such a jerk» and didn’t seem to want to acknowledge that there were customers lining up wanting to check-​out their groceries at the only open check-​out. I ended up finding the self check-​outs and sometimes they work alrite, other times they bug me. Today, it was only bugging me a little bit when it didn’t want the pennies I was trying to feed it and saying «un-​expected item in bagging area. bla, bla, bla» Grrrr…

hungry in afternoon? want quick? want CHEAP? want yummy?
Hands down you can’t beat Safeway’s 2 roasted chicken leg AND thigh, wedge fries and drink for $ 3.99
I was out in Langley… meeting was postponed an hour, so I jumped in and grabbed the chicken combo.
It was very hot and yummy. Only ate a few bites (no time) and saved the rest for home.

Safeway, for the most part will never fail you. They always have a great variety, they offer organic products, and they have a pretty cool bakery and deli.
I particularly like this location because it is conveniently located in the middle of other grocery stores, it’s clean, and the staff here are really helpful.
No complaints here
