Sushi Gio

Love that this place is right near home. For house roll was great, as was the chocolate-​covered ice cream pear for dessert (not sure if that was limited-​time thing). Ordered for takeout, but the atmosphere inside looked pretty good too!

I enjoy the taste of the food here but the proportions are quite small for what you pay. I find it very over priced .
In addition, the service is slow and the wait for tea and food can be even slower. It’s a very hit or miss sushi establishment.

For a sushi place in Langley I’m very pleasantly surprised of the quality and effort thats behind each dish. It’s not japanese and not authentic by any means. (no sushi place in langley is) But authenticity doesn’t aways equal deliciousness. In Sushi Gio’s case it certainly does affect how great each and every dish tasted. Amazing plating and classy décor is enough to win over anyone. The food portions are generous. The pricing is higher than other places in langley but it’s worth it.
overall great spot for a quick bite or friday pre-​movie date night.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this place. On our way out of town for the weekend we stopped in for dinner. It was quiet at 5:45 but started to fill up when we left around 6:15.

Salmon sashimi (half order)
Total: $ 54.89 (+ tip)
Everything was delicious and perfectly plated — not to mention we had our entire order within 5 – 7 minutes of ordering. It was incredibly quick service and the quality was unbeatable.
We will definitely visit again!

I love sushi and this was my first time here and it was a great experience. The service was exceptional and the food was both beautifully presented and fresh!
The place was a little classier than most sushi places and the setup was just right

Want to give five stars. But some of my items were only warm. Ie. Miso soup and Agadashi Tofu.
Inventive rolls. Fresh ingredients. Excellent presentation. Black rice option.
Décor is well done. Simple and urban.
For sushi bars. Don’t drive downtown as you couldn’t do much better than here. Prices reflect quality but I don’t mind that.
Service could have been a touch better. May have been reason for cooler food and limited tea top ups.

Let me first say that the food was great. Fresh fish, properly rolled rolls, and nice presentation. The reason for the 1 star was the service. WOW.
Staff: 1 waitress & 1 sushi chef (from what I noticed anyway)
Customers: Single top, Single top, 2 top, 4 top, and either a 3 or 4 top in the back.
If one waiter/​waitress cant handle that work load they have no business working in a restaurant… It could also be due to zero training I guess… After ordering my second roll I became non existent. I had my water filled once during my visit, was never asked if I wanted more sake, had to flag down the waitress to place that last order after telling her I would be doing so initially, and waited nearly 15min for my check once I requested it. The father at the 4 top in front of me had to get up twice to get utensils himself. On top of that, another waitress showed up half way through my meal and the service still did not improve. I would hate to see how this place would operate at peak time… Ouch…

If I could give 4.5 stars I would. Great sushi out in Langley and the only reason it loses a star is service.
We were here on Sunday afternoon and about ¹⁄₃ of the restaurant was full with only 1 waitress. She was friendly but just too busy running from table to table that we waited to get our order taken, asked a couple times for a tea refill and waited upfront to pay for awhile.
Otherwise, fish is fresh, sushi is solid, prices are good and décor/​vibe of the restaurant is on point.

This is really good sushi that I have been waiting for in langley township! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is good and the price is good. I ordered some lobster rolls and California rolls, and some sushi combos among four friends. The price turned out to be 15/​person, which is really good value.
In terms of space, the restaurant has plenty of space for big party. It has a long table at the ends of the restaurant that will probably accompany 10 people.
I have also gotten take-​outs a few times here. The speed of delivery is good no matter what time I ordered. I ordered once at 1pm, once at 4pm, and another time at 7pm. All of my orders were finished before my arrival and before the promised time. Thus, I am pleasantly surprised at the service.
Regarding its service, I think it is as good as it gets for the this restaurant. It would be hard to beat. My teas were served promptly. Orders were taken quickly. The waiters were patient with explaining the menu to me.

This new sushi joint is the best in the neighbourhood. Great service, awesome food and good prices! This is comparable to some of our favorite spots downtown Vancouver.

My mom and I were starved and tired after having a rough morning at work. We decided to treat ourselves with sushi and we checked the new sushi resto in the town, ‘Sushi Gio’ The prices were resonable and the sashimi was fresh. They had 5 lunch combo specials and they were absoulte ‘must try’ dishes. Awsome interior, clean, and cozy seats created a good environment to enjoy the meal. If you are hesitating to go back then don’t. The food is definitely worth to try

A new spot in town that I hope will last for years to come. Very reasonably priced and better yet, delicious food. We are enjoying the ambiance, food and location.
