I’m always open to new options when it comes to different types of cuisine Laval gets to offer. As of late, I’ve been on an Afghan binge and I licked my chops hoping to experience something great coming to a new resto that opened a few months back called ‘Maison Sheed’ located in Chomedy. We didn’t know what to expect being the only patrons in this resto during the lunch hour of a Thursday afternoon but the staff was very welcoming and helpful in our novice selections. I went with their Filet Mignon option which came with a generous portion of side rice and salad. The accompany my food, I chose their Dough(a yogurt cucumber-mind beverage) as my drink of choice. My overall impressions : — The dough was very good and made fresh on the spot. I really enjoyed it! — The Filet Mignon was good but I feel there should have been more bang for your buck(such as a 2nd stick), I’m sure other plates are possibly more filled out but all I’m saying is… I LOVEMYMEAT. GIVEMEMEEEEAT. — The rice was delicious and the portion was generous. — I found the salad dressing too sour, it overwhelmed my taste palette. Overall, this place is a solid place to dine, I’d like to go back one day with friends and order a bunch of plates and share and tastes the variety the chef can offer to his or her patrons.

From the first bite I’m wondering when I can fit into my schedule the next time to return. The lentil soup and qabuli(rice, beef, grapes) are excellent. They reminded of being in South Asia. We also had mantu which my wife really enjoyed. Suzanne and her crew are amazingly friendly and you’ve got to come and try their fare. You can bring your own bottled alcohol.
