Paula’s Fish Place

I love perch, so was very disappointed! Extremely greasy and over cooked. Two girls at the front desk when we came in ignored us as we waited to be seated. When we went up to pay we has to wait for the waitress to check out two people who were still seated before we could pay to leave.

Close to Point Pelee National Park. Lake Erie is across the street but you can’t see much of it. They specialize in Fresh Lake Erie Yellow Perch and Pickerel. I had the combination plate consisted of lightly breaded perch, pickerel and shrimp. It was very good. The garlic mashed potatoes were lacking flavor and the clam chowder was a major disappointment. Fresh bread besides a dinner roll would have been nice.
The restaurant has a small outdoor patio that is nice to eat at. They had a small band tonight. Tonight’s special was all you can eat perch and fried chicken for $ 17.99.
A few deserts are homemade: 2 cream pies and rhubarb pie, but other cakes/​pies are frozen. I was going to get the Key Lime pie until I was told it was a few months old (ouch!).
