Blindingly fast service, but a somewhat loud, cafeteria-like ambiance. I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic dinner, but it’s a great place to go with a group of friends. Ordering from the iPad is a convenient feature, and easy to use, even for the not particularly tech-inclined people. I also like the option to order from the dinner menu anytime of day(paying the dinner-menu rate, of course). We will return.

Awesome place for all you can eat sushi. I believe is was around $ 25 for dinner all you can eat. I love the iPad ordering system, it shows descriptions and pictures of everything on the menu which is very helpful and efficient for those not very knowledgable with it. The food is wonderful quality, tastes great and the customer service is amazing.

This place is a real mystery. It started with absolutely terrible service to one of the best in town. I am visiting it more or less regularly for last 2 years for two items only — seared salmon and tuna sushi(available only on the dinner menu but you can ask server to switch the menu at any time). Only negative is that in last 2 months they changed the way how they serve and decorate the sushi — adding mayo to the top. It tastes quite bad and every time I have to ask not to put it on but sometimes this message get lost.

168 Sushi is one of many all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in London. The sushi is at par with every other AYCE sushi place I’ve been to which is not a bad thing. They all have pretty good sushi for AYCE restaurants. 168 gets bonus points for its efficiency(we went during a very busy time which oddly enough was 2:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday) and the fact that, unlike my many other visits to AYCE sushi restaurants, they didn’t forget to give us anything we ordered. They use the ever-growing-in-popularity tablet system for ordering which definitely makes the ordering much easier. 168 has good sushi, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Four stars in my books.

168, time and time again, is average. Just kidding. Its worse. It is like going to a baseball game. Your team sucks. They lose all the time. Yet somehow you keep showing up because hey, they’re your team. You are ok with them losing. You are ok with them winning. Everything is complacent and mediocre. But that’s ok. 168 is your baseball team. They suck. Yet somehow people keep going. Over and over. Your typical crowd is not anyone of culture or ethnicity other than white north American. And guess what. That should be a damn good sign that the sushi is garbage. The sushi comes out warm. Slow. Incorrect orders. If they bring you the wrong thing they blame you instead of taking responsibility. They leave the dish on your table even if you didn’t order it. Its moronic. They take forever to seat you because somehow they’re always busy, full of people that are misguided because they think ordering on an iPad is cool. Spoiler alert, its because the servers are lazy as crap. I would rather eat the leftover crap thrown out in the dumpster at the end of the night, next door at Crabby Joes. This place is awful. Stop wasting time at one of the most expensive AYCE(All You Can Eat) places. a joke. The only reason its not a 1 star, is because they serve alcohol. And you can drink all your sorrows away about how shit the food is and forget for just a moment how long you’ll be spending shitting and throwing up the food later.

I guess I shouldn’t have high expectations for an AYCE sushi place, but I had heard great things about 168 Sushi. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. We mostly stuck to the sushi and fried items, so I can’t speak for the other items on the menu. The fried items we ordered(ie. tempura) were okay; it’s kind of hard to mess up deep fried food. The sushi, on the other hand, was fairly awful. It was bland and it didn’t seem overly fresh. Furthermore, the service was fairly awful. The servers treated us as if we were inconveniencing them by ordering. There were about five things we ordered but did not receive. When we inquired about this the server basically rolled his eyes as us. This place is also really overpriced. For my husband and I to eat we ended up spending over $ 60. We certainly did not eat $ 60 worth of food, and the quality of the food does not dictate such a high price. I don’t think I will go to another AYCE sushi place, it simply isn’t worth it. I definitely would not come back to this one.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had! My fiancé and I love coming here. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. When you go during off peak hours the food comes Extremely quickly! During the busy time you would have to wait but no longer than 10 minutes from the time the server puts the order through to the time it hits your table! With any sushi place there will be some set backs(wrong order going to the wrong table) we are human we do make mistakes but the staff are Very quick to fix! I love this place and we come often!

I came here at noon on Saturday and although it was busy, we did not have to wait and were immediately seated at a booth. However, it filled up really fast and good thing we came at the time we did because half an hour later, there were a ton of people waiting for tables. I have been a lot of AYCE Japanese restaurants but truth be told, I do not enjoy eating at them anymore. This does not reflect this establishment by any means, but it just means I won’t be reviewing the food items at great length, because I was over the whole eating-until-you-can’t-breathe-anymore and if I don’t indulge myself, then I feel like I’m not doing AYCE right LOL. But, I digress… IF I DIDENJOYEATINGMASSIVEAMOUNTSOFSUSHI, then I would definitely return again. Too bad I don’t anymore. Who knew this day would come? :-( The service was surprisingly good for how busy it was. The waiters were all attentive and refilled my tea frequently. They also came by to collect plates as needed. As soon as we would place an order on the iPad, the server would come immediately so there was very minimal waiting, for anything really. Food also came out really fast. My favourite item that we ordered was the Green Dragon Roll. Probably the only item that really stood out. The mango sauce on it is absolutely delicious. The spicy salmon rolls are also good as well as the salmon rose, if you like that kinda thing. I used to, now I don’t. Super biased on my part though: I ate copious amounts of raw salmon one week and am super sick of it. Their eel hand roll was good as well. I paid $ 16 something for lunch plus tax and tips. Not too shabby. Probably really worth it if you are on a bulking day and not cutting like me. My stomach literally hurt for an entire day after this meal. NOTCUZTHEFOODWASBADTHOUGH. I just can’t go to AYCE anymore :-(

Another great sushi place in town. Can sometimes feel a little crowded if they put you in the back room. iPad ordering is always fun.

This was my first foray into AYCE sushi. We came as a group on a Saturday. We attempted to make a reservation but it didn’t happen. So there was a fair wait. I do need to return as it was my first attempt at eating with chopsticks, first time trying sashimi and first time ordering with a tablet. All of which was overwhelming. I do recall no complaints about service or quality of the food. AYCE was about $ 30 a person. Since I have had a lot more experience at sushi that seems high compared to other places. That said I don’t eat eel or octopus so may be a fair price.

We’ve had take out from 168 a few times and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of food we got from the Maki Combo set A– for less than $ 20! Great quality food. The restaurant has amazing staff and service. They’re really fast and attentive, even on a busy Friday evening. The all-you-can-eat option is a great option, especially with their iPad ordering system. Just tap away to your heart’s content! Be warned: this is dangerous, because it’s waaaay too easy to order so much food, you’re bursting at the seams! The only things that could improve for me was that the tables seemed a little flimsy, and the table settings were a little haphazard. Actually having place settings for each seat would be nicer. Fair warning: credit and cash only!

My favorite go-to sushi-type restaurant in the west London area. The reason I regularly visit 168 with my friends for lunch is because of the consistent quality of the food, the consistent and large menu, speedy and cool iPad ordering process, speedy food arrival, and the clean, new, modern restaurant environment. If you wish to visit 168 during the weekend(fri&sat) lunch hour during the school year(sept-april) and do not wish to wait up to an hour for a seat, it is smartest to make reservations ahead of time. During the academic year, 168 is the go-to place for hung over, very hungry, groups of western or fanshawe students and athletes, so lines out the door are not unusual. The most annoying part about 168 sushi is that they DONOT take DEBIT for payment, and make you use their generic atm machine, which charges both a bank and atm fee per use.

On most visits the rice is a decent quality, but when you’re downing an excessive amount of sushi you tend not to notice, it is also often cold, which does make it slightly less enjoyable. If you’re lucky you’ll get your sushi when the rice has been freshly made and is still warm, which in my experience makes the sushi more tasty. The fish itself isn’t great to be honest, but it’s more or less the best you’re going to get at an AYCE sushi place in London. The cost for lunch is $ 14.95 on weekdays, and $ 15.95 on weekends. Even on busy days the service is very fast– although for some reason the hot food tends to arrive before the cold food. The only true downside to the service is the random unexplained disappearance of things you have ordered. Which is really annoying when you’ve been waiting for over 30 minutes for a particular roll or set of rolls. Reminding the server usually fixes this problem, but it happens far too often. While the quality of the rice and fish is certainly not top notch, the combination of fast service, easy ordering, large selection, and reasonable cost makes this place worth visiting for lunch when you have a craving for AYCE sushi.

I usually don’t go to 168 because it’s a bit far away from my neighbourhood. That being said, the couple times I have been I quite enjoyed it. The iPad ordering system is pretty darn awesome. I like being able to see pictures of my food so I can compare it when it gets to the table. I also like that it keeps track of what you’ve ordered because I know I’ve been that person who thinks, «Did I order this? What is this?» when food arrives. 168 is a great place to bring your friends that aren’t super huge sushi fans. They have a lot of great Chinese and Vietnamese food options for people who aren’t into ordering the different rolls and fish dishes associated with sushi. The food was good, nothing to rave about. That being said nothing really stood out as negative either. There is no special item or signature dish that has me thinking, «damn, I want some 168 sushi». It’s good, it’s reasonably priced. Service the last time I was in was stellar. Wait staff were extremely attentive to when we were done fiddling with the iPad and our food arrived very quickly. If I’m in the west end and want sushi, this is where I’ll come.

Excellent. Fast. Fresh. Don’t come on the weekend at dinner time though.(You’ll be waiting awhile crammed in a small space). Try the spicy salmon on potatoe(it’s a Pringle. Lol). Surprisingly good … Small portions so you can try many different dishes.
