The last time I got my eyes checked, I was a student and it was a whirlwind experience where I ended up spending over $ 500 on glasses that barely had a prescription. I felt swindled so I was definitely hesitant about going to get my eyes checked. I didnt want to be sold on glasses again. My boyfriend recommended Dr. Sharpe so I made an appointment. The girl on the phone was helpful and was able to accommodate us both after work during the same appointment. When we arrived, they processed our payments first so I could submit to my insurance company. They attempt to direct bill in any instance they can but not all insurance companies allow it. The employee there took some photos of my eyes which was a neat experience. Very easy. Dr. Sharpe himself is a very soft spoken man. He is really good at explaining everything and has videos to help on his ipad. My boyfriend has gone to him since he was 4 so it was neat to see how much he remembered about him and his family. He has a good memory! He was honest and did mention my eyes had some vision problems but not enough to really warrant glasses. I told him I had some and he was happy to read the prescription for me just in case I did want to get new ones eventually. My experience here was very positive and I would definitely recommend this eye doctor to anyone.

Waited 45 minutes for a 12:00 appointment on my lunch hour. Called to get a same day appointment after falling on a patch of ice. Was told to go to St Joseph’s instead as they have an optometrist /optimologist on site. They do not have one on site.
