This is my first time eating from here. I placed a take out order for spring rolls and chicken pad thai. The spring rolls were good, but there’s not much filling unfortunately. I was tasting more of the wrap, which I noticed some reviews about it. The pad thai was really good. Not the best I’ve had but good enough I’ll def go back there again. I would like to try more food. The staff were super nice.

My favorite phở place in London! Actually, it beats most of the places I’ve been to in Toronto and the GTA too. Their phở is delicious and well priced(around $ 7 for a small) and the service is super fast and friendly. Their fried spring rolls are kind of skinny and aren’t up to par with Ben Thanh to be honest, but their fresh rolls are great. Food comes out very quickly and since the service is so fast, I’ve never waited too long for a table even on busy days/times. It’s a b*tch and a half to bus to, but if you have a car this is the place to go. Plus you can pick up some groceries while you’re in the area as Walmart is right next door. Two birds with one stone

Good enough that I chose to come here for my birthday dinner! They even served us ice cream out of coconut shells, which was the coolest experience I did not expect. Great place for some quality vietnamese.

I’ve been to many phở places and I have to say that this place does fall into the top half. But in London, I would say that this restaurant is absolutely one of the best viet restaurants. The phở was great and the restaurant environment was clean and service was not bad. The only thing is that it took a little longer than I would have preferred. But on the plus side, the pricing was on the low side! Overall, it was good and I would come back again.

From the moment we walked in to when we left the restaurant, the customer service was impeccable. I’ve been here a handful of times and the amazing customer service has been consistent every visit. Cost of the food is fair(~$ 10 per person if you order one dish). The portions are small compared to my favourite phở places in Toronto, however, it still fills my belly up. Both my boyfriend and I enjoy their soup noodles, the broth is delicious! I personally enjoy the beef noodle but the pad Thai isn’t half bad either. The only thing that stops me from giving 5 stars is that they don’t have fresh noodles, which are softer and beyond more tasty than the rice noodles they offer.

One of my favourite places to eat. Great service. Love the good food. I have been a customer of theirs since their Sandford location. The new location is convenient and the restaurant is nicely decorated.

Food is pretty consistent and good HOWEVER, terrible customer service when there was huge lineup out the door and they let their friends bud everyone in line to get a table. Classy business practices. If you want to get treated fairly, don’t come here. Thuan Kieu, I hope you take the initiative to contact me to make things right.

I would give them a zero if I could. I ordered curry vermicelli and it was awful. The noodles were so mushy. It tasted like chicken Mr noodles. Make sure you know how to eat with chop sticks because that’s all they have. My wife and I did not eat much from our dishes but they made sure to charge us the full amount. Lastly, they bring you pen and a paper to write your order down on. wtf? SORRYBUTNEVERAGAIN!

Discovered this restaurant from my boyfriend, but it turned out to be owned my longtime friend’s cousins family! This is a non-biased review, I promise! When I came here with my friend, we were welcomed in within a reasonable amount of time and seated. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us tea immediately. We had to wait a bit for our waitress to come back and take our order even though it wasn’t that busy. Then we waited even more(~20 minutes) to get our food(bbq pork + spring roll vermicelli bowl and 101 phở)! We had ordered drinks(3 coloured drink + viet coffee) and it didn’t even come until our food came at the same time. I would have preferred to have those drinks come first rather than drinking it at the same time while eating phở. The food was delicious, simply just really delicious. The portions are very filling, even for a small phở. We really enjoyed our drinks as well. The total only came up to about $ 30 w/tips which is not too bad for two people. This place is much more tastier and authentic than BenThanh, but its also $ 1 – 2 more expensive(worth it!!!). Since London doesn’t have too many Viet-Thai restaurants, this one would be the best for a cheap and tasty meal. The interior is also modern and nice! Only –1 star since the service can be a little faster(considering it wasn’t busy at the time I went). Tl;dr best Viet-Thai restaurant in London in terms of authenticity, taste and price

Great food and service here. Solid viet resto but the workers are not viet. But that doesnt matter since the staff delivery out standing customer service! They greet you warmly. Are friendly. Efficient. Fast. And are very attentive. These attributes do not belong in a viet resto review! Ordered the grilled beef bun and it was delicious. On point compared to the Toronto viet restos. Great resto in the London area. Just a bit far off the 401. 5 stars. *****

This was my first time having phở and it was a great experience. I got the special beef phở and the broth was delicious and a small was more than enough to fill me up. Not to mention dipping spring rolls in the broth was the best idea ever! I would love to go back here just to eat all the Viet-Thai options.

Hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever tried! Now, let me cry that it’s not within my home town. I used to visit Thuan Kieu religiously to satisfy my frequently phở cravings. It definitely was not near the university but I knew that a bowl of phở from Thuan Kieu would be far more satisfying than any bowl of phở I could find in London. To be honest, I haven’t found a Vietnamese restaurant that made me THIS happy. Interior is bright, clean, and modern — unlike the phở restaurants that are common in Toronto or Markham. I didn’t really have to question the food safety of the dishes I was eating. Each thing I ordered was portioned well for the price. My go-to was the 108 phở. There was the right amount of meat and noodles and the bean sprouts looked pretty fresh most of the time. I loved how there were lots of onions, green onions in the soup as well. It had a very ‘clean’ broth to it that Thuan Kieu London did not have. Thank you Thuan Kieu for providing me my phở fix during my stay in London :) Please consider opening one in Toronto!

Wow. I rarely get to northeast London, but needed to meet in the area and chose to have lunch at Thuan Kieu. Amazing. The prices were great and the food was delicious. The spring rolls are the best I’ve had in London and the vegetarian vermicelli was incredible. I was there at lunchtime, on a Wednesday in July and the place was packed, which speaks to the popularity. While I would not typically choose a restaurant in a strip mall, I’m happy to have discovered Thuan Kieu which will now be in my rotation of favourite city cuisine, despite its location not being convenient for me. **EDIT** I downgraded my review from 5 to 4 stars after my third visit in three weeks. I tried the Pad Thai, which was average. Slightly better than Ben Thanh, but not nearly as good as the Quynh Nhi.

Service was a bit spotty the night our party of two was here. Two dishes and a drink ordered and one arrived about 15 – 20 minutes after the other, which is a problem no restaurant managing its tickets properly in the back should have. If we had ordered dishes to share, it wouldn’t have been an issue. As is, we ended up sharing what we got anyway. The black bean seafood noodle dish, the first to arrive, was an authentic mix of ingredients that my Vietnamese companion and I devoured thoroughly. The seafood was cooked well, and you could pick up on the black bean taste without too much saltiness, which a disk like this often suffers from. Next to arrive were the rice vermicelli with egg rolls, bbq pork and sour pork. I really liked the sear on the BBQ pork and overall it was a fantastic dish I’d order again. The sour pork really went well with the sauce and noodles. If I had to edit the dish, I would have added another herb, like mint, and the sauce lacked sufficient pickled vegetable and any pungency, such as might come from garlic – not as good as I’ve had from a Vietnamese home-cook friend of mine.

Some friends and I decided to try a different place for some vermicelli tonight and we chose Thuan Kieu. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant, we were happily greeted and offered hand sanitizer or hand lotion which was nice! Our server was so wonderful(everyone who helped us tonight had a happy attitude and were all very helpful). She suggested the Chinese beer which was really yummy. Sadly her shift was over after she took our order and she didnt say goodbye! =( My friend was glad our server suggested the small pad thai because it was quite a large dish! Our spring rolls were rolled tightly and very crisp and fresh. The vermicelli had a ton of noodles and the pork belly was a bit grittier than I am used to but it tasted very good and had lots left over. I wish there was a bit more of the other toppings in it since there was so much noodle but it wasnt a huge deal. All in all, I really like this restaurant, the décor, the food, and the staff. The food was good, huge helpings, decent pricing. I will definitely come back!

Came here twice for some Phở(beef noodle soup). Design and tables aren’t as fancy as Ben Thanh but comfortable enough. Had their special beef noodle, broth was very nice, overall taste was authentic. Portion is pretty decent, especially if you get large and finish the soup. Service was fast even during busy hours and price is reasonable. I would come again if I wanted some Phở.

Holy mackerel. You will NOT find an asian restaurant in London with a friendlier staff the moment you walk in the door, and their pad thai and spring rolls combo is incredible. I got so used to going to Wonder Sushi up the street and alternating between being yelled at and ignored, that when I went into Thuan Kieu to pick up a to go lunch order and was smiled at and greeted warmly and thanked for my business, I really thought I was hit by a car in the parking lot and experiencing a post traumatic brain injury hallucination.

After hearing rave reviews for this restaurant I caved and had to try it myself. The service is always wonderful, friendly and almost always fast. The food is stellar. My personal favourites are the spring rolls, pork and shrimp fresh rolls, phở and their pad Thai. I’m a wimp when it comes to spice so being able to request my food mild is key for me. If you want your drinks out before your meal make sure you add them at the beginning of your order list so they are made first!

This is where the people who love Ben Than’s SHOULD eat. Fast and friendly service, and good prices. They keep renovating and expanding the restaurant for a reason.
