It’s not easy if you want to eat smart/casual in Lunenburg… Fleur de Sel was a little too fancy and we were recommended this by our concierge. Fantastic experience, some of the best Lobster my wife had ever had, the scallops were to die for, very interesting cheese plate too. We didn’t have room for dessert but that didn’t stop us. Topped with very informative service. Definitely would try again… not cheap but absolutely worth it.

Great setting for a special meal out. Service was excellent, as well as the menu and resultant dishes we selected. Only short coming in this customer’s opinion would be the dessert samplings selection. This is of course a very individual and minor area of the overall experience of an otherwise fine dining experience. The wine selection was good as well, plus nice to see they have incorporated a variety of local NS wines too.

I stumbled across Rime late on a Friday night while riding through Nova Scotia. The meal, smoked haddock, was excellent. A special shout out to Erin, and the kitchen staff, for accommodating my late arrival.

Rime restaurant is incredible… A gem in Lunenburg! Our dinner there was of New York/Montréal/Toronto highest standards. The service was exceptional. The room was warm and inviting. But the food… It was sensational. This recently opened resto is a hit. The seasoning is restrained, just perfect. A light touch hits perfection with each dish we tried. Smoked halibut, seafood chowder, fresh local greens, fresh oysters and carbonara — all perfectly executed. Finishing with Crème brûlée, we were sorry it was over! We are very picky, but cannot say enough about Chef Jeff’s commitment to fresh, local and creative dishes. Here is a rising star to watch.
