Had an epic Thursday night with my friend. Was a pleasure meeting Sarah and the owners Sha and his lovely mother Layla(all Iranian). These fine people truly love their customers and what they do and they are willing to bend over backwards to make your experience a positive one(but please don’t ask them to bend backwards — that’s just cruel!) I lean more toward the spectrum of the«demanding» genre of clientèle, I guess I can admit, but I know what I like and Sarah and Layla were more than happy to accommodate my request to dim the lights(that’s right, it got sexy up in there) and to fix the shisha charcoal so it was burning just right. Most of the time they cleaned up or fixed the shisha without asking. I guess they have a special talent to read minds! Hehehe(ya, I’m cheesy sometimes) The atmosphere was cool, laid back, sexy and felt like our own special place to hideaway from the stresses of life. With the staff mingling with the clients just like old friends, that group of band members(I suppose) brainstorming on song material and playing soft background guitar in the corner(bunch of cuties too) and the few intimate groups scattered amongst the comfy modern lounge sofas amongst the small bar, Café chic really felt like a home away from home. Best of all, the double apple shisha with Red Bull base was strong and flavourful so there were definitely no complaints here. On top of it, Sarah was sweet enough to hand out free Halloween treats to everyone. The unexpected free goodies just added a nice touch and showed appreciation for our business. Apparently they serve an authentic pot of mint tea with crushed mint leaves so I will have to try that next time when I’m not boozing it up LOL. And they serve desserts, snacks, and hot food. I think I smelled a hot fresh burger and was tempted to order. We had a great time and I loved my shisha so much I made an offer to buy the pipe thing-a-ma-jig and I was very pleased with the deal and my gorgeous new shisha pipe. I will definitely be back soon! The owner warned us to make a reservation for the sofas on Fridays and Saturdays as it gets quite busy so keep that in mind. FYI: establishment was very clean and bathrooms spotless. I know some of us really appreciate things like that.

Place was dirty and unsanitary, no plastic mouth pieces, tables were sticky and I got sick during the night after having a drink there

I have been there twice. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The shisha was not bad. The seats are so close and you can overhear the seats beside easily. While we were smoking there, there were some guys playing PS and almost shouting and screaming. I don’t know if the Ps and Tv would be a good idea for a place like that. I prefer to go and smoke shisha in a place without any noisy people.

Great place, awesome to find a shisha place in thornhill. Went here on a date night, nice atmosphere. Saw some big groups here too. Solid shisha selection, interesting choice where you could use water, juice or red bull. Friendly, attentive staff. Unique for a shisha place where you have great snacks and tea selection as well. Will definitely come again.

Café Chic has great specials! Especially on Monday night the Shisha and Tea special for $ 15 is awesome! Great to share the shisha with a friend or 2. Service is attentive and we were basically the whole table there. Limited sofa/lounge seating if that’s what you looking for. The Red Bull and juice instead of water option is quite interesting. Maybe I should try my shisha with a Red Bull and be wired the whole night!

Café Chic is the perfect place to head out with good friends to just lounge around and chat, snack, have some shisha and enjoy some good music! Much like Awtash downtown, Café Chic is the swanky shisha lounge uptown. Most of the other shisha places in the area are on the cheaper side where you just get in, grab your smoke and head on out but there’s something cozy about just hanging around here. It’s a little hidden but worthwhile finding the place, amongst all the shisha(they do some crazy variations — red bull base!) they have great snacks and better drinks! Plus the owners are amazingly friendly and we’ve enjoyed every time we’ve been here. So if you’re uptown with a bunch of friends wondering what to do, head over to Café Chic to chill out!

The shisha was O. K but not the best. However, the deserts and drink menu were interesting and worth a try. In a very shady location with limited parking. Atmosphere was average compared to other places. music was too loud, and it was very difficult to have a normal conversation. Very overpriced, and not much value. Overall, you will have a far better experience at other cafes, and your dollar will be better spent. Skip this place if you can.

I would give this place a 3.5. It had great shisha options and drink options and friendly staff. It’s pretty small inside, so it’s a great place to go with a couple friends. My biggest complaint was about an hour into getting there on a friday night, they dimmed the lights and pumped music, complete with lights you would think belong at a huge club. It make it completely impossible for my friends and I to talk(or yell). Before that though, we were having a great time. I would recommend this place, but be weary of the time you go at. Overall, it was a great time and it’s worth going to try out their shisha.

4.5 stars! Café Chic is probably my favourite hookah place in the Toronto area. It’s a place that has the neighbourhood hangout feel, but also tries to keep it fresh and exciting with a changing menu, specials, and events. The place is run by a very nice young couple whose energy and enthusiasm can be felt in everything from the chic décor to the hookahs they serve! It’s the kind of place where you’ll feel recognized and appreciated after a few visits, making it a great candidate for a neighbourhood night! In terms of the offerings, I like the fact that they serve hookahs with different bases(e.g. milk which makes the smoke more dense), and even though I’m not much of a smoker, I’d say these guys make the best hookah I’ve tried other than Horus B in NYC! Food-wise Chic has pretty decent paninis, and desserts, but I personally go for the drinks, company and sometimes smokes! The martinis I’ve tried here have been pretty solid and not shy on the alcohol! The only shortcoming is with regards to the beer choices which are a bit standard/bland. I guess you wouldn’t expect a German tap at a local hookah bar, but a few more hoppy options would probably hit the spot! Another factor to consider about Chic is that the specials also actually make a difference! I’ve personally enjoyed$ 3 beer Tuesdays and the Hookah/tea special available Monday nights, as well as the popular Martini Thursdays! I’ve also been pleasantly surprised to walk in on other special events, such as live DJ and poker nights. The music they play is usually some form of electro or pop that fits the mood of the night. They also have an X-box or PS system(not sure which), but I’m not quite sure what games are available other than Pro Evolution Soccer! Overall a fresh option if you live in the area, and worth checking out if you’re passing by.

I just went to Café Chic couple of days ago and had an amazing time. Unlike other shisha places, they have a variety of great cocktails, appetizers and deserts and their Shisha is just amazing. They serve their Shishas over milk or juice or red bull which is even more amazing. I highly recommend the place for anyone who wants to have a great time with friends… great atmosphere and cute décor.
