This is the grocery store I usually go to, mainly because it is located close to my home. I can pretty much always find what I’m looking for. Some prices are a bit more than others but I can always get good quality fruit, vegetables and meat. They also have a pharmacy with great staff. Of course like any grocery stores there are times that can be very busy but some nights are nice and quiet.

I am normally a fan of the Loblaws supermarkets. I like the produce selection, the hot foods and the bakery as well as the home section. This location has a serious problem with selling foods that are expired. They reduce the price of an item, say ‘a block of cheese’ — making it appear on sale. however when you return home and open the package, you see it is already having moldy spots. They have reduced the price as its past the best by date! Keep in mind these aren’t foods on the clearance or discount rack — these are items that are advertised as being on sale that week. This has happened to us now 4 times. We diligently check the expiration dates, however have found that even if the date is still a ways off, food has gone bad. It is tiresome to have to make return trips to the grocery store to return bad items. The assistant store manager doesn’t seem to care less about the return, nor does the staff we have encountered running the customer service desk. The self checkout was a nice feature(we won’t be shopping here in the future) however there is a women who is often working the desk and she is very abrupt and brusque/rude to deal with. It was a nice store… but not nice enough that consistently rotten food and blasé staff would go unnoticed.

HAD to come here today because my son wanted falafel balls for dinner(I went to Costco, Walmart, nobody carries them.) I hate the customer service here but love the products. Today at checkout, I didn’t get a hello but I got a thankyou and a have a nice day. Maybe things are starting to look up here. It needs to because there is never anybody in this store. They are probably busy on Saturdays. Today, they had 3 checkouts open and there was not a queue at any.

We’ve shopped at this Loblaws for years and always had a good customer service experience throughout our shopping until most recently when they hired on this lady at one of the cash registers. This review is ONLY specific to «Nancy» who worked Till #11 on Sunday August 10th, and ended her shift at 7:30: She left her till at the end of her shift and us(her last customers before her break) without a word, and did not assist us in finishing bagging our groceries. She didn’t even: — say she was going, — ask us if we can finish bagging ourselves or if we needed help, or — follow-through and finish HERJOB and bag our purchases. This is the second Sunday in which we so happen to be putting our purchases through her cash register and it’s off-putting that she’s consistently given us a terrible customer service experience. The previous incident was she barely used words or spoken language to communicate with us. English may be your second language Nancy, but you’re in Canada, you work at Loblaws, and you are in a position to provide customer service ANDTHATREQUIRESTALKING. On top of that, when we wanted to leave a comment about our disappointing experience, there was no clear escalation protocol, or the employees weren’t aware what was the escalation protocol, OR they were reluctant to participate in order to protect one of their own or save their own asses. Loblaws employees may think that being unionized is an automatic shield from«doing no wrong», and I am deeply disappointed that we had to encounter these shopping experiences.

Overall, 3.5 stars. This Loblaws is nice, clean and spacious. It has a nice selection of ready-to-eat food, cheap coffee, eating area, clean bathrooms. I like its floral section the most as the flowers are really fresh, and some are guaranteed to stay alive for 10 days. The Home section is my second favourite because the cookware is affordable and of good quality. There is a surprisingly good selection of linen such as rug, table cloth, towel, etc. Other than these, I find the regular grocery section good quality but pricey for my budget. I must admit that it carries some exotic fruits selections. What bring me back again and again is the President’s Choice products. Some of the better inventories here are not carried by No Frills.

Recently my grandma started an organic food diet mainly because of health concerns. That’s one of the reasons why we started shopping here, and overall we’ve been satisfied. The organic isles are identified very clearly, being able to find them in less than five minutes. They were more reasonably priced than I thought, considering organic foods are usually more expensive. Beyond the organic sections I particularly like the huge variety of options in this supermarket(clothing, appliances, phones, etc). The few things this store lacks are a larger fresh seafood counter(it’s about half the size of the Chinese supermarkets I’m used to) and the slow cashiers, though it’s somewhat my fault as they do have self check-outs there.

Loblaws is such a nice place to go during lunch time while I was studying @ high school. The food is def not cheap unless you really go through to find the really good deals. But I found their hot food decently priced compared to food court(mall). I like how they reserve upstair for customers and employees to sit and relax. There used to be more space with windows but they got rid of it to expand the fitness centre. Honestly, its so beautiful to lookout in the supermarket. I can see why the food is so expensive. Loblaws def make an effort to ensure you have a luxury time shopping for grocery. Grocery are usually a pain in the butt esp when the interior looks dreadful. but loblaws overall appearance is clean and colourful. Also, this Loblaws is very convenience to do all the essential stuffs in life i. e learn how to cook, buy food, exercise(women only), good banking(no fee), dry cleaner, alcohol, and clothes shopping. Its sort of like a mini mall within a huge supermarket.

Being the biggest Supermarket in the area, you can get everything you need here. Your basic everyday groceries need will be fulfilled, but nothing too unique or amazing. Maybe you need some appliances, electronics(no idea why people will be buying a camera here, but I guess if you have PC points) and clothing(Joe Fresh is in the house!), you can find them here too! And you can do some banking too, PC Financial has a branch with staffs working here if you do want to talk to someone in person?! Goodlife Fitness Women only gym also located upstairs, but I don’t think I really want to work out in a Supermarket with all the food and the smell of cooking in the air, talking about temptation! However, since this Loblaws is huge, walking around looking for something specific would be an exercise in itself…

Loblaws is my secret love. I’ve been with this supermarket since they first opened and I’ve watched it carve out a little niche for itself. *sniff sniff*. The great thing about this Loblaws is that it’s opened late(until 11PM), which is great especially if you desperately need to buy something! Just last week I forgot to buy my mom a birthday card! It was around 9:45pm so the malls were already closed. I went to Loblaws and picked her up a sweet b-day card! Thank you Loblaws! This Loblaws is massive. It has a pharmacy, home décor, kitchen accessories and small appliances, as well as clothes and a Good Life gym(which is for Women only, sorry dudes). I picked up a nice large pumpkin today which costs only $ 2! ssssweeeettt! The best part of this Loblaws is probably the self checkout counters! It fulfills my desire to be a cashier, I love it!
