Sign up for their email promo. There are so much promo/​coupon emailed on regular basis, you prob never have to purchase at regular prices. Also after purchases, you get more coupon for the next time. The products are not cheap however.

Without michaels, where would all the artists be? I like michaels because it embraces and provides equipment for every type of art– beading, baking, painting, gardening etc. Everything relating to any type of art, you’ll find here.
This michaels is extremely clean but has a severe lack of employees. I definitely end up wandering around here whenever I’m in the area with nothing to do and have probably seen 1 other staff once, other than the people at the register. Other times, when I ask where certain things are, the people didn’t know what I was talking about, even though that was the exact name of the product.
Not going to lie, I’ve probably blown hundreds of dollars here buying random things to try out all the art experiments I’ve seen on the internet. Most of the stuff they sell here are high quality, and the great thing is they ALWAYS have promotions all year round, and even offer coupons every day (you just have to search the internet for ‘michaels coupons’ and every store has them)
Now, with that said– michaels is pretty expensive. some things you can definitely find on ebay for cheaper while other stuff is actually worth it to get the full quality of the products.
Eg. canvas, plain beads, perler beads — get it on ebay
Whereas items like brushes, paints, prismacolour — get it here
It’s all good judgment that you have to have; if you’re unsure about a product, you definitely should do research before you just buy.
Generally though, they have amazing deals all the time where you see it and you’re like ‘WTF REALLY!!!’

I am not much of a craft person, yet I think of Michaels when I need some craft supplies. This location is closest to me, so this is the only Michaels I have been to. I guess the merchandises rotate seasonally; otherwise, I can’t explain why fake flowers covered ¹⁄₃ of the floor space last Sunday. Must be because springtime was near. My mom was here looking for yarn, and this location stocked lot and lot of yarns of many colours, materials, feel of touch. I found feathers to make DIY cat toys. Boy, where else can one find feathers in a bag other than Michaels?
The only reason it is 3 stars is that the store was messy. Services were fine and friendly, otherwise.

It’s a nice little one stop so for crafting, but it does get a little messy in there and sometimes, you can’t find things you need. The Michaels website in my opinion is terrible. No price ranges and it’s hard to look up if they have specific items.
None the less, this store has great service, great overall organization, and I can find almost everything I need here. It’s open for long hours which makes it convenient to go by after school or work and there always ample parking. :) and they always have great sales going on!

All things craft related can (probably) be found here. While I can’t say that I am über crafty, every time I come here I wish I was!
I came here with a couple of friends looking for favour boxes/​bags for a friend’s bridal shower. They have a decent selection with of course, a bunch of other stuff to customize the simple favour boxes (ribbons, little ribbon flowers etc). They had a lot more wedding related stuff than I thought (even garters!). So if you’re planning to become a DYI bride, I’d stop by here.
There seems to be always at least a 40% coupon off the regular price in the the weekly flyer so I’d come here armed with one. It’s usually only off one item as opposed to your entire purchase so if you’re on a budget, bring friends and tell them to bring their coupon too.

They also offer classes every month (floral arrangement, baking, etc.)! I signed up for Wilton cake decorating class this July so let’s see what that’s like :)
If you sign up for their mailing list you’ll get weekly coupons which are quite helpful imho. Most of the time the coupons are 40% off
