I had a great experience with Unionville Appliance. Neville repaired my Whirlpool dryer, with an experienced assessment of the product function, electronics and parts. After testing the various components, he explained the problem, and replaced the part.
Neville clearly explained the invoice charges, and also gave me some advice about my washing machine as well. My neighbour uses Unionville Appliance too — a company I would use again for sure, for any repairs or parts.

Unionville Appliance is a true Markham local gem. It provides repairs services to major household appliance, and sells new scratches and dents appliance and reconditioned appliance. It has been in business in Markham for a long time. Though it has a retail store front, people usually know about it through referrals as it barely advertises. It does many business-​to-​business sales, and this is the way I hear about it.
I needed to buy a dishwasher. I wanted something inexpensive with stainless steel surface, and a few small scratches or dents didn’t matter to me. When I entered the store, I was immediately assisted by an employee then the owner, Sal. I was pleased there were many Bosch dishwashers on the floor, some costed as little as $ 600, but I needed something cheaper. Sal didn’t look down on my tiny business and directed me to a new Frigidaire dishwasher that costed $ 399 with $ 50 in store credit. Naturally I searched and just could not see the «scratches and dents» that it was supposed to have. This model was normally MSRP at $ 549, which means I got it at 36% off. This discount was deeper than the normal 15% to 25% discount on the market.
The store itself delivers for a fee but does not install. But they can arrange an electrician who runs an independent installation business to pick up and install the appliance. Sal arranged it for me right there before I closed the purchase.
As Unionville Appliance sells scratches and dents appliance, the inventory varies weekly. Customers buy what are presented on the floor and examine the extent of imperfection personally. Sal is helpful in pointing the imperfections out and tried to find something customers need.
The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that while certain scratch and dent appliance carry manufacturer warranty, some carry a limited/​scaled down warranty because of the locations of the imperfections. If you want complete manufacturer warranty, you should ask specifically about the warranty coverage and limitation.
