Perfect coffee! Amazing gelato! Really cool and friendly staff! There’s a reason why locals come here for the coffee!

The coffee here is amazing. I can hardly bring myself to drink anything else. The coffee is extremely fresh and locally roasted. I have yet to find anything as tasty in Vancouver, so I stock up on beans when I am visiting. Staff are great and they are very kid friendly. This place is a serious gem.

I love Grab-a-Java! The best Caramello’s I’ve had, plus great tuna sandwiches, cinnamon buns and amazing gelato. Amazing staff as well. Very friendly.

I used to be a frequent customer, but my visits have been a lot less frequent in recent years. Sadly, their service does not extend to the Metro Vancouver area. Why does the coffee have to be so good? It haunts me, it does. So precious. And of course I make another side trip, the long route to Abbotsford. It’s a good thing that gas is cheaper out there. Lucky Mission folks, with Dave’s excellent brew right at your doorstep.

The great coffee is the start, but the support for local community organizations and commitment to fair trade is the whipped cream and sprinkles on top. Friendly staff, pays to become a regular here, and you’ll probably strike up a conversation with someone interesting.

I love this place. Not only is it a great place to sit and have a coffee with friends, but they have some of the best beans in Mission. I highly recommend Grab-A-Java!

Their in house made gelato is totally to die for. I also like the rocky road bars and the fresh baking. This was where I went on my first date with my boyfriend and one of our fave summer outings is to take the motorcycle here and share a gelato.

At first glance it doesn’t seem like much, tucked between Mac’s and ZZCuts Salon. The tables are mis-matched, the décor is eclectic and there are coffee sacks, license plates and local art on the walls. However, as the many regulars will attest, their coffee is the best in Mission. Their Café Feminino, a medium blend that benefits women in Peru, Dark Secrets bold coffee, and espresso beans are all Certified Fair-Trade, available brewed or in beans, and good to the last drop. They bake fresh scones and muffins every morning, offer other nibblies and drinks in addition to brewed and specialty coffees, and make their own delicious gelato and sorbettos in-house every week. There is an outdoor patio for the butt-heads and a small non-smoking patio near the door. They have free wi-fi as well, which makes it a great place to hang out by yourself, and a comfy atmosphere for coffee talk with a friend. It’s kind of like a coffee house Cheers, where everyone knows your name. The owner is a Mission local who is very involved in the community. You will often see Grab-a-Java coffee at local events.
