I went to Meadowlarke Stables for an assessment lesson and wasn’t too thrilled with my experience.
The Positives:
First, I have to say the employees and staff were very warm, welcoming and sweet. I also admire the fact that the owners rescue horses who were being abused or going to be put down. I think that is very admirable. I also have to say, their prices are the best in the city. They are much cheaper than other stables.
The Negatives:
I didn’t like how small the horses stalls were. When you went to tack up the horses, you literally had to push the horse so you could groom them on each side as they were too narrow for both you and the horse. The stable is also pretty far from where I live and they didn’t have any classes available at a convenient time for me at my riding level.
I would say this is a good stable if you live in Mississauga. If you are closer to Toronto or live in Northern Toronto, I would recommend others.
