This is a place with lots of potential. I believe they have wasted much of it depending of the location and terrace too much.
They do have some interesting drinks, but where I felt really let down was the food menu. Now I get that this is a bar, but their little list of food was flat out terrible. I ordered something call pizza bites, and what they brought me was bland little tasteless muffin with a dab of ketchup on top. Seriously! The service sucked too. It wasn’t that busy, but the waiter was more occupied on chatting with his friends and impressing the girls at another table. Trust me, I spent half my time staring at him trying to get his attention. They probably lost out on 75 $ from my group of 4 as we left after an hour.
I’m giving it 3 stars because of the crappy waiter. Without him it might have been a 4 star. Just be careful with the food. It might have you dreaming of .99 $ Ramen noodle soup!

Quand je suis allée au Balthazar, c’était pour prendre quelques verres avec des amis, manger une petite bouchée puis continuer le reste de la soirée à se promener sur la rue Mont-​Royal et découvrir d’autres bars/​lounge afin de déguster les meilleurs cocktails en ville. On a tellement aimé l’endroit qu’on s’y est fait de nouveaux amis avec qui continuer la soirée et qu’on y est resté pendant 3 heures au lieu d’une!
La liste de cocktail est très bonne avec des recettes maison pour des concoctions unique en leur genre. La surprise de la soirée pour moi a été leur burger. Je l’ai partagé avec quelqu’un mais j’aurais bien aimé en avoir un au complet parce qu’il était si bon!
