Wow.

A Little Italy gem: great coffee, friendly service, good prices. I drop in several times a week — part of what makes life in this neighbourhood so enjoyable.

Best espresso in Montréal, hands down. I grew up in the area and all locals agree. No sugar needed, a true sign of an excellent coffee.

Great little coffee shop in Quartier Italien. What I enjoy about coffee shops like this is the action spills out onto the street. For me this is one of the definitions of a great coffee shop. They have these wonderful wooden benches that groggy or somewhat tired people of the community come congregate at. They are a great melting pot for the locals and those who come here to relax and have a java or cappuccino. Secondly, they must have a strong java brew. On my visit I was looking for a strong cap. Definitely not disappointed(creamy, strong and well balanced). This place has the opportunity to keep up with the likes of Olympico. I need to come back and check out their Freddo. Something about a nuclear strength iced coffee intrigues me!

They should change their name to «Perfection» or something. Amazing Coffee, the balance of bitter and sweet is in such sync in every cup of coffee. My boyfriend came here before and he was so impressed with the coffee that he brought me here later. I had a latte and my boyfriend took cappuccino and we were extremely satisfied. The cappucino wasn’t too foamy, had the perfect 1⁄3 ratio that capuccinos should have. The intensity for the latte was also amazing, not way too milky, you get your milk based drink without losing the coffee taste. Cappuccino is $ 2.50 and Latte is $ 3.00 tax inclusive! Cash only. The ambience is very warm and made me so homesick because most of the customers know each other and the owner is also there. People are friendly and there’s always a positive vibe there. Best coffee for the best price in Montréal!

I can’t stop thinking about the freddo. I tried it black and with milk. The flavor of the black alone was perfect. The servers were really friendly too!

Came here for a freddo(iced coffee) and it was very tasty and refreshing on a humid day. I opted for some cream in it and was a wise decison and it enhanced the flavor. Coffee is very strong and even the small shot quickly picked me up. The price tag was abou average. The barista looked like he was having a long day and I felt I was bothering him. That’s why I can’t go 5 stars on this one, maybe it’ll change on my next visit.

my previous review is still good but this is just a mise en garde because its summer therefore one tend to go with a freddo(iced coffee) and let me tell you about this freddo. it is the most potent glass(or cup) of coffee i have ever drank in my life! i usually get it black(no milk) at my regular spots(vito and olimpico) as its quite the perfect iced coffee but here, at san simeon, its probably the worst mistake you can do unless you seriously want to see unicorns and ghosts. not only is the cup bigger so you’re getting more of it but it hits you like a freight train. your body is not prepared for such highly caffeinated drink. first time i drank it, it hit me so bad. then an instagrammer who works(or is a regular) at san simeon told me that you cut it with milk. well, that’s what i did yesterday and truth to be told, its still as potent and deadly. you simply don’t see it at first as the first 2 – 3 sips, you’re fine. afterwards though, it kicks in and unicorns everywhere! olimpico may be open da night. san simeon is up all night and beyond, way way way beyond. buzz lightyear beyond. so coffee drinker beware of that highly delicious but so deadly freddo

Can’t remember last time I ordered moka(circa 15 years ago in high school?) but I must have been influenced by the previous reviewer and his mention that they dust cocoa on the cappuccino. The drink was delectable in a «dessert» kind of way. I prefer my coffee stronger but honestly I got what I ordered. The atmosphere was great. Old timers inside and out with over 20 people chilling outside chatting and drinking coffee informally(no individual tables nor table service outside) just because the weather was great!

Great little old school Italian ‘bar’ where one finds simply delicious coffees. Located a skip hop away from Milanos grocery store. Grab a quick latte to go or have a seat and relax. Great little place!

VIBE Very old school Italian coffee joint across the street from Impasto. Connected to the restaurant on the corner from the back(not part of the same resto family, not that I know of). But the best part is that there’s casino machines in the back! Awesome. I DRANK I got the Old School. Kind of like a sweeter latte. Yum. Tasty. You can tell these guys are pros. And look for the $ 75 bill behind the counter. OBLIGATORYCATCHYREMARK I wish I could see more of the atmosphere here during the week. I feel like it’s the old days of Montréal a la Duddy Kravitz but with Italian characters.

Take a trip to Italy in this authentic café where regulars are met with a ‘Bön journo’ and their preferred espresso concoction and visitors are made to feel right at home by Piero and his team. I went in for a cappuccino, thinking I might take it to go; I wound staying for hours and feeling like I’d begun new friendships. Stand at the bar, grab a chair, or relax in their outdoor patio and take a sip of Little Italy.
