From all of the recommendations I received, Chez Paree seemed to be THE strip club to hit up in Montréal. With a few caveats, I definitely agreed. Like others have mentioned, yes they try to gouge you by asking for«tips». We went early so the ticket girl in front didn’t bother us, but was very grateful for an unexpected tip. The bouncer who shows you to your table also asks for $ 2 per person. One of my friends flat out refused, and there was no argument. Tips are included in the drinks, at least with the beer buckets. A beer bucket will run you about $ 50 for six beers, which isn’t great, but isn’t terrible either. Now here’s a tip — show up early. Sure, you’ll be that skeevy guy walking into a strip club in broad daylight, but trust me, it’s worth it. It’s much less crowded, and many of the girls work from 4 to 9 anyway. Speaking of girls, there were a LOT, especially for the afternoon. Different strokes for different folks. Lots to see, and many to talk to. When you get there early, they get bored and just sit down and you can have a normal conversation with them. If you don’t want a dance, they just move on. No pressure, for the most part. If you want a private dance, you just tell the girl and she brings you up to the front desk, where you«tip» the bouncer $ 5 and then give the girl $ 15 at the end of the dance(that’s $ 15 per SONG, so keep track). There was one disconcerting moment where one of the girls told me that a bunch of the other girls were complaining about a terrible smell in a few of the rooms(she thought someone might’ve pissed in it), so that was kind of a buzzkill. Oh yeah, full contact.

Very upscale and classy place for the area. I’m a stripclub aficionado, and I can easily say Chez Parée is one of Montréal’s finest. This is the stipclub they mention in «Family Guy» when they planning to visit Montréal.

Went to Chez Paree this past weekend for a bachelor party since it was steps away from our hotel and it didn’t disappoint. There was a plethora of gorgeous women walking around in the club, I have never seen a gentleman’s club that employs so many which is a good thing since the club was packed on Saturday. It is a little on the pricey side and I didn’t like the fact you had to tip the bouncer $ 5 just because he showed you which table to sit at and waitresses expecting a minimum 10% gratuity but you’re at a gentleman’s club to either relax or have some fun and that will always come out of your pocket but you will leave Chez Paree a satisfied customer.

By reputation, this is a legendary Montréal gentleman’s club. I went there for the first time ever last Thursday and despite the terrible weather, the club was packed. That fact alone told me everything I needed to know about the reputation of the club. A very good start. In the club, you literally had ladies of all shapes and sizes, shades and heights and it was full of customers. To be honest, it just felt like one major party. And that’s how gentleman’s clubs are supposed to be, i. e a place where you can sit back, relax, have a drink and enjoy a show. As far as the décor, it’s pretty much a standard Montréal club however I would recommend visiting this place if you’re in town and happen to be downtown. I believe that it was the favorite of many Montréal Canadiens legends, including Patrick Roy. I will probably go again, some day.

Very nice place with the most beautiful women I have seen. There was 35 women there on a Wednesday night. They say they have 55 on weekends. Very reasonable private dances as well. A must see while in Montréal.

Went here for a bachelor party and had an awful experience. First we paid extra to sit in the club’s VIP section which was a complete waste of money. The section is far from the stage, and few girls came over. Next we ordered a bunch of mixed drinks which were beyond watered down. When we brought it to the waitress’s(and later management’s) attention, they fought us hard about replacing them. There are much better options for strip clubs. No need to waste your time at this place.

Girls are all right. We just had a few drinks there out of curiosity. Not extremely interested in this kind of art or service whatever you call it. Coming from a non tipping culture i find it ridiculous that even the coat check in lady asked me for a tip just for giving me the ticket. Then the bouncer tip was okay since i was told beforehand. Even in the bathroom there’s this guy trying to rip you a buck or two off by pouring you the liquid soap and rolling out and towels… I wonder how the guys in the private section got hustled by the girls as said in other reviews. Oh yeah, forgot about the expensive drinks and the pushy waitress. Maybe i’m just too poor to get in there.

Let me try to tackle the tall task of writing a non-sleezy review for a gentleman’s club. I enjoyed my experience here. I really did. Came here for a friend’s bachelor party. Despite what others say about kama sutra, etc etc, I believe that THIS place really is the definitive Montréal experience. Even though, I did not partake in the festivities upstairs, the show was genuinely enjoyable. Came here around 5pm for an early show. Girls were still gorgeous and one of them definitely gave us a flash dance moment with the pole acrobatics. Seven o’clock arrives and you start seeing some drop dead gorgeous tall model types appear. Definitely great for some eye candy. Coming from NYC the prices here offer a real bargain.

What’s Montréal without having some boobs shoved in your face? Chez Parée is one of Montréal’s best gentlemen’s club, although when we were there, we didn’t see many gentlemen. When we walked in, we were greeted by bouncers in tuxes. I thought that was a nice touch because when I’m getting the shit beaten out of me for getting too grabby with a stripper, I like the person doing the beating to have an air of class. After a brief wait on line, we bought our ticket in(only $ 5), and the ornery lady who gave me the ticket told me it was customary to tip her just for giving me a ticket. Since I’m not a total idiot, I politely told her to f*ck off. We were escorted to a table by the tuxedoed bouncer who told us it’s customary for us to tip him as well just because he showed us our booth. These people don’t work very hard for their tips. My drunk friend obliged anyway. The strippers at Chez Parée are quite hot, but the drinks are ridiculously expensive(bucket of 6 beers for $ 60). You are allowed to touch the dancers if you get a dance in the back room, but despite their assertion that«contact is allowed,» you’re not allowed to beat them or hold them in your arms as you sob uncontrollably. The music selection throughout the night was also quite nice — nice mix of hip-hop and pop. Unlike American strip clubs, you don’t throw dollars on the mainstage if you’re sitting up close. It might be a safety issue, as Canadian dollar and two dollars are actually coins. Getting hit with a coin in the exposed taint probably hurts more than a paper bill, I reckon. Generally, our group had a great time. One stripper tried to extort my friend and me in the back room, revealing that they’re nothing but two bit hustlers out to make a quick buck, but as long as you know that their assertions that they«love you» and«you are handsome will you marry me and help raise my child please you’re my only hope they starve me here and don’t let us leave and i’m not even given overtime» are just attempts to shake you down for more money, you’ll have a grand old time!

We came here on a Sunday night and you’d expect this place to be dead, or at least their B-level dancers to show up. This was semi-truthful. We had just ventured from outside of the city from an obscure place, and it was highly disappointing that we had to rush to get back to the city to make at least an hour’s worth of dancing. We first had to buy admission tickets at $ 5 a piece. But after paying we decided to start walking in, but the bouncer was sitting another group. He ran back and yelled us to go stand at the door and wait for him. This initially made me mad as I was not going to come blow a lot of money to be treated poorly and disrespected. But when he came back he apologized and was very nice, so I guess it must be a security issue. I ended up tipping him $ 5, as he sat us right on pervs row. The talent here wasn’t too bad, I’d say for every 10 girls, there were 5 hot girls, granted this was on a Sunday night at 2am. The waitresses were probably hotter than most of the dancers, and they were super nice, courteous, and accommodating. One girl, Mandy, was amazing, I told her that I would buy dances from her for my friend, who’s was on his bachelor party, if she can wow him on stage. Indeed she did, not the best looking, but very energetic and flexible. She earned 3 songs. All of the staff were in tuxedos, which I guess makes this place classier than most. There’s also a $ 5 charge for lap dances, which are also full contact. $ 10 drinks

I’ve been putting off my review on this strip club because of the«taboo» nature of it. But I can resist no longer. Our party had an excellent experience, but only because we knew the proper etiquette for a high(er) end strip club. 1) Tip your seater. The better the tip, the better the table. Look at it as an investment. 2) The main stage is like a table dance pre-view. Don’t feel obligated to tip the dancers on stage, but you can if you like, especially if you’re sitting on the stage(what we term perverts row). 3) The dancers make their money off the private/table dances, so choose carefully, see rule 2. 4) The dancers will make their rounds after they preform. It is proper etiquette to complement them on their dance, remember they are performers and it takes skill to spin on that pole. 5) When you decide on your table dancer(if you want one) wait until she comes to you, don’t go rushing up and grab them. Most clubs have a no touchie rule. So now that the rules are out of the way… my experience. Service is great. Drinks were always full, though a little on the pricey side. The performers were great. Very classy. The atmosphere was comfortable with plenty of leather couches and high back chairs. Nicely lit, not too bright but not dingy either. I will be back next trip to Montréal if I have the right crowd going. Going with a group that includes females gets you extra attention as well. Just sayin’.

This may be one of the greatest places on Earth. Or at least the best gentlemen’s club in Montréal. We went here the second night of my little brother’s bachelor party. There were six of us and we had been to Club Super Sexe the night before and were thoroughly disappointed. We wanted to make sure we had a good time since we were leaving the next day. Chez Paree did not disappoint. As Christopher said, you just have to understand the business of Montréal’s strip club scene and you are sure to have a good time. Sure you have to pay cover, but $ 5 is pretty cheap for Montréal. Yes, you have to tip the bouncer, but that is the case pretty much everywhere. We tipped the bouncer $ 5 each and he let us take over an entire side of the stage(really, the best place to be). Beers were expensive, but compared to Super Sexe the night before and a couple other bars we had been to, they were downright affordable. And dances can be expensive, but if you remember that you can stop it anytime(and you keep track of how many songs have played) you won’t have to spend more than you planned on going in. Besides, the incremental value of the dances is far greater than any club I have been to in the U.S. or Ontario. The dancers are the best looking in the city and are very entertaining as well(i.e., they don’t just writhe around with a disinterested look on their faces). In sum, if you are going to go to a strip club in Montréal, particularly if you are there for a bachelor party, Chez Paree is far and away the best place to go.

Classy and upscale compared to alot of strip clubs in the area. Expensive sure but the strippers in there are some of the best in Montréal period. Avoid the VIP backroom its a ripoff but the lap dances are pretty standard for Montréal. The beer is moderately priced and i was happy with everything.

Another bachelor party, another visit to the sinful underbelly of Montréal. This was my third bachelor party in the world’s second largest French speaking city, and I think I’m finally starting to understand the city’s legendary gentlemen’s clubs. The trick to having a good time at Chez Paree, or any of Montréal’s strip clubs is realizing that these clubs are all about business, and you’ll feel like you’re getting hustled from the moment you walk in the door because, frankly, you are. But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and so long as you’re aware of what’s going on you can still have a pretty good time. For instance, at this all-cash club you’ll find the cover isn’t too bad($ 5), but as soon as you finish paying for your admission ticket, the doorman won’t hesitate to remind you that it’s «customary» to tip him before he seats you. In other words, cough up another $ 5 or you’re not getting in. Drinks are exorbitantly expensive(for instance, $ 28 for two beers and a black label) and the pours are miniscule, so be prepared. Also, as Ronnie B. mentioned, the waitresses will grab any drink that’s left unattended(forcing you to buy a new one), so be sure to tether your glass to your wrist. The girls at Chez Paree are plenty good looking, and if you choose to purchase a dance, you can choose from either the $ 10 «table dance,» which is a typical«lap dance» in the US, and the $ 15 full contact«private dance,» which Montréal is known for. The private dance takes place in the VIP room, which costs another $ 5 to the doorman every time you want to enter(that’s in addition to the $ 15/song price for dances). Never pay the girls before the dance(they’ll get up and walk away halfway through the song, or only dance for 2 songs when you paid for 3). Also, be sure you keep track of how many songs they’ve danced, and verbally confirm each one, or they’ll take you to the cleaners. Otherwise, Chez Paree is one of the nicer gentlemen’s clubs in town(by that I mean the girls are halfway decent looking, and you don’t feel like you need a tetanus shot when you leave). They also put on a HELL of a bachelor party show for you(the best I’ve ever seen) so if that’s your motivation for visiting Montréal, put Chez Paree high on your list.

I’m not much of a strip club connoisseur but I have been to this place a few times over the last decade or so and I have been happy with every occasion. First off, this IS actually one of the more classier places I have been to and in my top 3 in the St Catherine Street vicinity. The girls are very good looking and you have quite the variety to choose from. Some of them seem quite talented: O ;) I didn’t see any signs but I think it may be a non-smoking bar. Expect to pay for everything. Drinks are WAY overpriced and even water comes in a bottle with a price tag. If you want to drink, do it somewhere else to get your buzz on. Here are the rules: — Bring Cash. This place wont do credit or debit. There is an ATM inside if you run out of cash, but avoid it. — You may have to pay to get in the door. I think it depends on how busy it is for the night. I’ve been when it’s slow and you have to pay a small fee. — You MUST tip the bouncer. The«recommended donation» is $ 5. Stick with it and you’ll be fine. — You have your choice of locations. Stage, table, or bar. Stage is the best if you are by yourself or with a friend or 2. — Don’t leave anything unattended, including your drink. If you go for a lap dance, the Waitress will swoop in and take your unfinished drink. You ARE allowed to bring it with you. — You will have to pay a bouncer to enter the VIP area for a private dance. The fee is usually $ 5 — Private dances cost $ 15 per song and the rates are posted on the wall as you enter. Remember… PERSONG. Three songs = $ 45. BEWARE: The girls may try to hustle you. Don’t sit down and let them start until the song starts on stage. Partial songs count as one song. Be sure to count on your own. If you lose count they will know. — The private dances here are fun since it’s a contact club. This means you can touch the girl anywhere you want except between the legs. When the dancers are on stage, they will often get completely naked. In the private dance, they are supposed to keep their bottoms on. If you are lucky enough to have a girl willing to take their bottoms off during the private dance, don’t brag about it since it is technically not allowed. My advice is take a shower before you go. Clean customers mean clean girls and if you are really gross or inappropriate, the girl can choose to limit your contact. This club also has a hand sanitizer station. Use it. Before and after. The private dance is in a small booth in a separate room and the dance pretty much happens ON you. — Enjoy yourself but remember, this is a Gentleman’s Club. If you become rude, rough, or obnoxious, you will be asked to leave and if things get out of hand, you can be arrested like in any other bar. (o)(o) \. / /^ \

So, I walk into C.P. with pockets full of cash, pay my entrance fee and have the following conversation with the bouncer: B: Hello, Sir! Where would you like to sit, table or bar? Me: Bar, I guess. B:(runs to the bar and pulls up a bar stool) Me: Thanks, but I gotta hit the bathroom first(I did, too) B: Tip? Me: What? B: For the seating Me: I don’t understand B:(getting aggravated) Is this your first time at a strip club? Me: This one, yes. B: In Montréal, it’s customary to tip the host for the seating. Me: Really? That’s kind of ridiculous.(turning to the bartender) Can I get change for a 20?(want to tip the , but no small bills) B:(most likely not hearing me and getting his panties up in a wad) Ok, that’s it. You’re done.(takes me by the elbow and escorts me out) Me: I see. Well, f… you, too. *FAIL* Went to competition around the corner instead(«Downtown»). Had great time. F… these guys and the horse they rode in on.
