I am biased in favor of the cheapo breakfast because I think there is magic in affordable food. Deli Joe’s breakfasts are all around 10 $ — not super cheap, but big affordable plates for sure — stacked with market fresh fruit and veg. And the space feels like breakfast: sunny, friendly, clean and comfortable. I bring my parents and girlfriends here equally when a good basic breakfast is required. Definitely not all day breakfast, not even an all day resto, but perfect big booths and small patio for breakfast before hitting parc Jarry or Jean Talon market.

Went to Deli Joe for brunch on a Sunday. Their coffee was pretty standard, and was filled up regularly. A pet peeve of mine is when people re-fil my cup when I’m not finished my last one(I have to re-figure out my cream-to-sugar-to-coffee ratio). I don’t hold this against them though, cause I know many people love this. I had the Omelette du Marche, which basically has everything in it — was a pretty standard omelette, not dry or anything. The hash browns were pretty solid, as was the toast(nice thick, fresh bread). My friends enjoyed their meals(apparently their«cretons» is very good). I also saw some pretty nice decorative-fruit going by to other tables(very a-la Chez Cora). The place is clean, cute, the waitstaff is pleasant and attentive and it has some great outdoor seating that would be nice in the summer or if we’d rather have waited the extra 10 minutes for a seat outdoors. Overall, a decent brunch — nothing spectacular, but good all around.
