Party time ! 5⁄5 visité en juin 2015.

I’ve biked past this place a few times, and because there’s no outdoor signage indicating what it is, and the entrance is a tiny, little tucked in patio, I had assumed it was actually just someone’s home and they were having friends over for outdoor drinks! I went to meet Risa on a ridiculously hot day, and actually biked past it again, not knowing where to find this place, it’s THAT obscure. Interestingly, that obscurity makes it a special spot frequented mainly just by those in-the-know! That vibe of it being friends over for drinks at someone’s house is a feeling you get being there, even the first time. The small patio at the entry is behind an iron fence(which I locked my bike to) and is extremely unassuming — in fact, there might not be any tables and chairs set up when you get there, so you’ll have to make a request if patio drinks are your thing. Personally, I was DELIGHTED to sit inside in the air conditioning. The décor is fab: heavy, but elegant lumber-style tables, a bar that’s a handsome mosaic of scrap wood bits, chic seating and of course a giant, steel A on the wall. I’m not sure how new this place is, but everything else is pared down, décor-wise. It’s a breathable space. Friendly bartender, and a small, known clientele it seems. I really liked the chill atmosphere. It’s an excellent place to meet one-on-one with someone and not have the distraction of crowds, loud music or crammed tables. Risa and I shared a bottle of cider(you can’t get single-serve glasses, but a bottle was only $ 15 — nbd), and it was just the right thing to restore my sanity before heading back out into the oppressive heat.
